Make your favorite chocolate cake and cool.


1 batch of your favorite vannilla or butter cream frosting recipe (or be lazy and use 2 cans of ready made. I have )
green food coloring
peppermint flavoring (be careful a little will do a lot!)
chocolate shavings for top of cake.

Tint the frosting with the green. Then add the peppermint flavoring. Spread over cooled cake. Put chocolate in hand held grater and make chcolate shavings for the top of cake.

Very springy and great for ST. Patricks Day!
