Icon5 Freezing Cherries Anyone?

If you can freeze cherries? I would pit & halve them first, just wondering if they would take?

Erin told me about freezing grapes, and I have done strawberries, just wondering if anyone had frozen cherries?

Maybe I will experiment if no one has

The cherries are in season here and very cheap so I am looking to preserve them now for the future..any suggestions are welcome

update:

Well I experimented with these yesterday and froze a few overnight. They are delicious!
Just halve & pit them and as Christie stated get as much air out of the bag as possible. I am not sure how long they will last, but I am sure you can get a bit out of them...The taste nice and slushy/icy, already Ashley approved

BTW, you can also freeze grapes for a nice, slushy treat for your kids!

You can also freeze fruit salad for slushies...

Just put 1c of fruit salad
some sugar or substitute
1/4 c milk or yougurt
ice

blend until you have a wonderful summertime drink

I am glad that worked!
