I have decided to make my son's cake for his birthday this year. I am in love with those beautiful fondant cakes, & my son is in love with elmo. While I am not going to attempt anything extravagant, I would like to know it anyone has any tips on using fondant to decorate a cake as this will be my first one. I wanna do a simple two tiered white cake with colorful decorations & the faces of some of the characters made out of fondant & icing for the smaller details. Any suggestions are welcome. Thank You
