* 12 canelones
* 1 onion
* 3 tabel spoons of butter ou olive oil
* 250 g minced meat
* 2 garlic buds
* 4 tabelspoons tomato pulp
* 1 stick of Knorr (meat) melted in a glass of warm water
* salt
* nutmeg
* other spiced you like to season your meat
* 1 tot of Port Wine or Sherry
* 3 dl ketchup
* greated cheese
* bread crumbs
- Chop the onion and fry it in the butter/olive oil.
- Add the minced meat, chopped garlic and let it simmer.
- Add the tomato pulp and the Knorr.
- Season with salt, nutmeg, and other spices.
- In the end add the ketchup and the Port Wine. The meat should not be dry, if you find the meat dry, add more tomato pulp mixed with warm water.
- Cook the canelones in boiling water (with a pinch of salt) about 8 minutes.
- When done, fill the tubes with the meat and place the tubes side by side in an oven dish.
- Over the filled canelones, pour Béchamel sauce and grated cheese. On top of the cheese sprinckle some bread crumbs
- It goes into the oven and bakes till the a golden brown crust forms.
