Aphodisiac Prawns
* 1 kg big prawns, cleaned and uncooked;
* 1 soopspoon grated ginger (root);
* 2 dl coconut milk;
* 2 soopspoons olive oil (or butter);
* 1/2 teaspoon powdered onion;
* salt;
* 1/2 teaspoons basil spice;
* 1 teaspoon powdered garlic;
* 12papaya cut in pieces;
* 5 pinapple slices cut in pieces;
* 1 red onion chopped;
* 1/2 teaspoon thyme leaves cut in pieces;
* 1/2teaspoon rosemary, crushed;
* 2 garlics chopped;
* 1 red pepper;
* 2 big roasted tomatoes;
* 1/2 teaspoon tabasco / chilli sause;
* 1/2 teaspoon oregano.
- Pierce the prawns through the bbq sticks.
- Mix all your seasonings and season the prawns, leave them for 20 minutes.
- Heat the olive oil in a pan, add the chopped onion, garlic and the ginger. Let it simmer untill transparent.
- Add the tomato (skinless and seedless), red pepper chopped and the pinapple, papaya and coconut milk.
- Cook on medium heat untill the sause thickens
- Turn off the heat and wit an electric mixer, make a thick sause.
- Grill the prawns.
- Serve the prawns with the sause.
