This is a big favorite in my house and you can freeze extra portions in tupperware. Just pop in microwave to defrost a bit, then slowly hit on top of stove adding a bit of water.

Quick and Easy Meat Chili

2 ˝ lbs ground beef
1 large or 2 small onions - chopped
Garlic powder for taste
2 ˝ tablespoons chili powder
1 large can stewed tomatoes or 2 -11oz cans
1 15oz or larger can tomato sauce
1 6 oz can tomato paste
1 large can of chili beans
1 large can of pinto beans
1 large can of kidney beans

In a skillet, sauté onions in olive oil until soft. Add in ground beef, lightly brown. Season with garlic and chili powders. Cook until done. In large 6-8 quart pot, empty cans of tomatoes, sauce, paste, chili beans, pinto beans and kidney beans. Stir together. Add cooked meat and onions. Lightly season with Spike. Mix. Simmer for 3-5 hours. Serve with grated cheese and sour cream. Serves 6-8.

We make a similar Chili in our slow cooker but just large can of light red kidney beans and two large cans of tomato sauce. Depending on whether it is just my husband and I (spicy chili) or guest joining us (blander) we add Chilli powder, Crushed red pepper, and sometimes a dried Habenero pepper and then cook for about 2 hours in the slow cooker. Yum!
