I absolutely love chocolate chip cookies, trying to diet doesn't change this...
I need a low fat simple recipe for cookies, if anyone could help me out that would be appreciated.. Thankyou x

Here's one...its a chewy granola bar recipe, but I thought it was pretty yummy....I LOVE choc chip cookies btw

2 cups rolled oats (old fashioned kind)
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 to 1/2 cup wheat germ
1 egg, beaten
1/2 cup veggie oil
2 tsp vanilla
1 cup flour
1 cup chocolate chips
3/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup honey

350 degree oven, grease 9x13 pan

mix together oats, sugar, wheat germ, flour, choc chips and salt. Make "well" in center and pour in honey, beaten egg, oil and vanilla. Mix well and pat into pan.

Bake for about 30 min, till golden at edges, cool for only 5 min and cut while still warm.

The origanal recipe calls for 1 tsp of cinnamon and 3/4 cup raisens, but I changed it to suite my tastes (with the choc chips ). I am thinking some coconut or dried cherries would be good as well.

Let me know if you try them, I hope you like them. I love, love, love choc chip cookies, but for some reason, since ttc my last baby, they havent tasted right to me. Too bitter, too soft, too sweet, too dry, too undercooked, not enough choc, too much choc, etc....LOL, I'm ruined! I really liked these granola bar ones (my kids didnt ), they were nice and chewy and I like the honey taste. You cant taste the wheat germ, but it was a bit hard on my system....of course eating too many didnt help
