Had my staples removed, and was told everything looks good. I asked about an HSG, but he doesn't think we need to do one unless I am still TTC in a year with no success. I was released to go back to work at the end of the month (just in time for New Year's Eve - I'd rather be working than sitting at home since DD will be in Chicago on reserve anyway).
He says we can start TTC after I've had one regular cycle, which he says could take several months. I will have some scarring he says, because he did have to cut a slit in the tube, and he cauterized a few blood vessels, but he made the incision on the back side of the tube, away from the majority of the blood vessels so as to minimize the scarring. He wants me to be diligent about taking a HPT each month once we start so that we can keep an eye on the numbers from as early on as possible, but he seems confident that I shouldn't have any more problems. I'm just praying he's right.
This whole thing was actually my first experience with this Dr., since we just recently moved to the area where we are living. He is so kind and compassionate, I feel lucky to have found him. I have another follow-up visit in a month. In the meantime, I'm just to be careful about heavy lifting at work. I guess the busboys will have to act as barbacks for me for a few weeks.
