Default New Many Questions

Have any of you had your tube blown out? What was it like? How long did it take? How long did it take you to recover? How long did the tube stay open? Did you get pg? How much did it cost? My tube is blocked due to an ectopic pregnancy almost a year ago.

Hi Smart,

I assume that you mean an HSG where they shoot dye into your tubes to see if it is clear and it can get cleaned out as a result. I did have this done right after my EP and I did get PG right away. Mine did not reclose as I am pregnant with my second over 2 years later. I don't remember the cost since my EP surgury maxed out my insurance and it didn't cost me anything.

I am surprised that your EP was not removed surgically and that they are not removing your blockage surgically. I think it is great if you can avoid surgery.

Good Luck and keep us posted.

No I mean blown open. I have had and HSG and that is how I know my tube is blocked. They have a procedure where they can unblock a blocked tube so that an egg can travel down that tube. Thanks for your infor and I hope that you have a healthy and happy 9 months.

Wow! No I have not heard of that one. Sounds better than surgury. Good Luck!

My first ectopic ruptured, so I initially thought that's what you meant by "blown out..." Now that I know what you mean, I don't have any advice. I have actually never heard of a procedure like you're talking about, but I'm glad to hear there's an option to reopen that tube for you!
