I usually post on the another board but I just had an ectopic pregancy on 9/9/07 and had my right tube Surgically removed. I would love to chat with some women that are going through the same thing. I would love another baby to add to our family but I'm feel the chances are getting lower and lower. I take infertility shots, so I already have a slighter lower chance and now with one tube

.
My mom had 3 babies on one tube back in the 70's so I know there is hope its just scary.
Lets get this board going

for the ladies to show there is hope after a Tubal pregnacy.

Hi there, I come and check here alot. This is one board I wish could remain slow!!!
My ep was on Oct. 27, I also lost my right tube. I agree it is scary. We started trying again after 2 months I think. Thankfully it worked for us in February of this year and we are currently 34 weeks with a little boy.

There is hope after ep. I was giving it 6 months of trying before we were either going to go to the dr for help or give up all together.
Are they thinking about running more tests on you? I forget the name where they check the remaining tube?
I do try and check over here. Would love to hear how you are doing.
Oh by the way, there is another girl in DIO/DIN who had a ep and is also doing great.
There is hope and I am cheering and hoping for you!!!!

I agree

with what you said for this board to remain slow. I don't wish this upon my worst enemy. It is nice though to talk to women that went through the samething.
The dye test to check the tube is Hysterosalpingogram. I'm actually having that done this Friday. I just got over AF, it was earlier than they expected but I'll take it. Maybe I will even "O" next week, I don't know if its too eariler to try. My doc did say I have no restrictions. I will ask him on Friday.

I was told to wait 3 full cycles. Yeah right! I didn't wait when I miscarried before I had the kids in 2001 either. I did wait 2 months only because dh wanted too.
I still feel resentment for everything that happened. I am still in a state of disbelief that it did take place to begin with. Miscarriage I could handle but loosing a vital part of my fertility that was hard to say the least. That is something I can't express to most people because I am pregnant again and over the moon about it but there are times thta I am still pissed off. My ep was oct 27. and I had the staples from the surgrey out on November 3 which is my due date. The dr. kept telling me the whole time well I never had a patient who wanted to be pregnant not get pregnant with in a year. I thought he was off his rocker!!!! My dh gets mad when I get upset by it as well. My due date was july 9 and I made a comment about it then he told me to get over it!!! Ahhhh!!!!As if. I still get emotional for the m/c I had 6 years ago. Anyways, Let me know how it goes friday!!! Still cheering for you!!!

Hi Ladies, I didn't have an ep but I do have only one open tube.

Mom2Madeline; did you get your positive by ttc naturally? I just finished 3 months of Clomid without success; aweful side effects experience.

DJ - I'm glad you joined in. Now you said you only have one open tube. Can your doctor correct that with surgery?

My dye test went well. My doctor said my tube looked good.

Hi girls, just saying hi. I post here from time to time but thankfully it's been quiet. Unfortunately, there are other boards out there that are quite noisy. I'm every ep victims nightmare. I've had 2 ectopics, one on each side. I lost my right tube with the first, had a second mystery loss and then had a second ep (3rd loss) that was successfully resolved with methotrexate. Know that the majority of women (85%) go on to have successful pregnancies. Only a few like myself have repeats and even then, a lot of those go on and have success.

Mom to M & J, My dh made the same asinine comment to me too. A lot of men are like that, I find. It hurts not to have your mate not feel about the loss the same as you. It was their child too, you know?

Julie~~ Glad to see you back. I am sooo pulling for you. I am so glad to hear that they saved your tube. Hopefully this is the month. Finger crossed for you.

Karen~~~ SO glad to hear the test went great. That is awesome news!! Good luck on TTc'ing!

DJ~~~ Glad to meet you! (wish it was under better times) I was very lucky to get pregnant on my own. I was giving it 6 months and then I was going to talk to m/w about clomid myself.

I am going to be checking in on you girls please make sure you give updates when you can. And my fingers are crossed for all of you!!!!

Hi Everyone.

Mommy, I'm glad you're test went good too! As for me, I had a tubal reversal and the outcome was 1 open tube/1 blocked tube from scar tissue. The RE said no fixing it; that the scar tissue will probably come back.

Mom2, that's awesome that you got your bfp naturally. We're on a natural cycle this month and it would be a miracle if it worked. My RE bill is getting high!

Good Luck to those trying this month and lets keep eachother posted. I'm cd8.

Hello ladies,

Im so happy to see this board going again, I usually post over at TTC after TR. I had a EP on 10/31/06 and my left tube was removed. I had HSG #1 on May 9, 2007 and Radiologist was not able to get the catheter in the right place so he told me "There appears to be some kind of blockage" and sent me home thinking that my only right tube was blocked, then my OB received the report and called and said that I need to have the test done again by a more experienced Radiologist so I had HSG #2 on August 23, 2007 and once the catheter was in place I seen the dye flow freely through my right tube and was almost in tears. Im so happy we on this journey together, but I hope we all graduate very soon.

Have any of you ladies tried Preseed? I just ordered it and it came after I ovulated so I will try it next month.

Julie - Nice meeting you. You been through so much. I am so cheering

for you to get your BFP this month.
I have a question for you. After your first EP did they do a HSG test on you. If so, what were the results.

DJ - You have one good tube thats great. I see you said you are seeing an RE, I am also. Are you on any infertility meds. I was on injectables before my EP. So now actually I just had AF a few weeks ago so before I go back to the RE I am right now doing some "O" test, because If I am going to "O" on my own it should be in the next few days. I only have 2 more months supply of injectables my insurance will pay for so, I will take a natual cycle in a heart beat.

Brenda - Thanks for joining us. I'm glad your HSG test went well. I hope we all get our sticky BFP's very soon.
I never tried preseed or heard of it, what is it.

Preseed is a "sperm-friendly" vaginal lubricant, I don't have alot of egg-white CM so this mimics your own CM and it will not kill sperm like KY jelly or Replens intimate Moisturizer, it provides the proper environment to help the spermies swim in the direction they need to go. The website is www.preseed.com and if you check out www.twoweekwait.com you can read success stories about women who have been trying for months and when they tried preseed they got their BFP's on the first or second month using this.

Hi Karen,
I just finished 3 months of Clomid. I go to the REs next week and want to ask about injectibles with an IUI. Are you monitored with injectibles?...if so, how often (I have to work that into my work schedule). I had aweful side effects with Clomid; thought I was going to loose my mind so I only did 3 cycles.

Any advice on injectibles?...What cycle day do you use them? Do you get them from the RE or the pharamacy? Thanks alot for the help.

Have you ever had an IUI?...I'm wondering if it's helpful for us one-tubers even though there are no sperm issues?

I was on clomid off and on for a year before injectables in 2003 with my dd.
I hated it, it gave me headache and stomaches. Then I went to an RE I was put on Gonal F and a trigger shot to make me "O" and an IUI. I got pregnant on the second round and had my dd. I had no side effects with injectables.

This time around he put me on a different brand of injectables called Follistim its really the same kind of meds but it is a pen. Its super easy to use. With gonal F I had to mix the drugs. Follistim is all ready, you just dial up the dose its easy. Also I'll be using the trigger shot to "O" called Overidel w/ IUI.
You can see my history with my signiture at the bottom of my post.

You are very much monitored. This is the drill. You call the office on day 1 and schedule an u/s and b/w for day 3. On day 3 you go the office for your u/s and b/w. Then you call the offices answering machine for injectable patients. They will leave messages on the machine for the patients. It will have a whole list of women on there. So when I hear my name it might sound something like this "Karen you are ready to start your meds today. Take 150cc of Follistim today, Thursday and Friday and come in for b/w and u/s Saturday morning at 7am." Then Saturday for the u/s they will check to see how big the follicle are. They will probably do an u/s everyother to every day towards the end of the meds, to monitor the size of your follicles.
Your follicles need to be 18mm to 20something mm. (Ususally I would do the shots for about 9 days.) Once one or more get that size. They will tell you to take your trigger shot in the evening and have intercourse. Then come into the office 36 hours later for your IUI.
And thats really how it goes it might be slightly different with another doctor.
Also my insurance pays for 3 or 4 cycles. So I only pay a co-pay for everything. I get mail delivery. It will depend on if your insurance pays for it. But it is usually mail delivery or at your phamarcy.

Your last question you asked. IUI is diffentely good for one tubers. And my dh had no sperm issues, actually his last count at the last IUI was 187 million and the nurse said 12 million was good.

GOOD MORNNG LADIES!

Well i am usually lurking and posting on the TTC after TR board, but reading your statements here i see that i can also maybe post here and seek some answers or advice.

I had my TR on 09/18/07, outcome is right tube was destroyed no hope of repair, but i my left one is wide open and clear.....

....

We get to start TTC for our first together this month in OCT 2007, so i hope to hear more from you ladies and MOM 2 you are my ray of sunshine , hoping that i can achieve my BFP..... can i ask how long you were TTC'ing

someone else on another board told me i can achieve tis goal it just might take me a little longer with only one tube, most people i talk to have the right and not the left ... glad to see someone in the same boat as me so to speak.

Angie - You had your TR 9 days after me. I already got AF and I took a "O" test and tested positive on monday so, I would have loved to conceived naturally. Because I do fertility drugs so I will take a natural cycle.

Hi Karen,

The REs nurse mentioned that I might want to try Femara (because I didn't like Clomid). Can you tell me what the difference between Femara and Injectibles is? I'm not sure if you are fimilar with Femara; as you are with injectibles. Do they both have the same outcome; making more follies?

I go to the REs next week; I want to be prepared to be aggressive.

DJ - Femara and Clomid are very simular. Femara should have the same follicle build up clomid would have. They are both pills and if I can remember they are taken on cycle 5-9 something like that. Clomid is known to thin out the uterine lining. And Femara is not suppose to do that. I was on Femara for only two cycle it just wasn't the right cocktail for my body, but there are tons of success stories for Femara.
Injectables are different and can cause lots of mature follicles thats why it needs to be monitored very closely.
