How are you all doing? It's been really quiet around here. I hope that you all are doing well.

Not too much excitement here. I have an OB appt today so hopefully I will get to hear a hb. She may make me wait until next appt.

I'm doing well. We are going to committee for a little boy that we hope will be ours on Feb. 10. So far, we're told we're the only family being recommended for him. I am very optimistic that things will work out. I can't describe how I'm feeling exactly... I'm excited, but nervous. I've yet to have anything baby-related turn out well. At the same time, I just "know" this is our son. I have been indescribably drawn to him for months. I'm getting the sense that this is how it was all supposed to turn out. If we are definitely matched with him, I'm hoping he'll be home by June. If I get really lucky, he may be home by his first birthday, which is May 24.

Karen - That is great news. I know nothing is definite, but I hope he's the one for you. I met a dad at the park yesterday. He was telling me about his adoption of his daughter from China. She could barely move when they got her at 13 months in November. She is the same age as Cassandra and a cutie. She is amazing...she runs and climbs, much higher than Cassandra and she's a teeny little thing. That little girl was so cute with her daddy. I was thinking about you. I didn't know things were progressing so well. You'll be in my prayers.

Cindy - I'm so happy everything seems to be going in the right direction. I hope this is a great appointment. You'll be in my thoughts and prayers today, as you normally are.

Not much new here...trying to figure out what to do about our house. We have three kids in one bedroom. Once Cassandra is out of the crib, we have no room for a real bed. So, we are either going to knock this one down and rebuild or move. DH and I have opposite opinions on the subject...but if he keeps dragging his feet I'll get my way. He won't have any choice.

Alfredo and Laurel are going skiing this weekend for Indian Princesses, so I'm taking the other two kids to visit my dad in Northern CA. I'm going with my dad's fiance to look at her dress and her maid of honors (her daughters) dress. Then I'll have to figure out what I'll wear as the "best wo-man".

Karen! I hope this is your boy! I've been wondering how your adoption process was going. I've got my and going for you.

Kathy, good luck with the house situation. I'm sure it is very expensive in So California. Have fun wedding shopping for your future step mom and her DD.

I did get to hear my baby's HB today. It was too weak to get a count, but it was beating away at what sounded like a good rate to me. My OB gave me an order for a nuchal translucency scan for downs. I'm hoping that I can avoid an amnio this time and still have peace of mind. (My SIL has downs syndrome so there is a slightly higher risk for us)

DD might be getting her molars finally. She kept waking up last night which is not typical.

How about our new ladies? I know a lot of you are still in wait mode. Is anyone charting in preparation for TTC again? As always I'm thinking about you and for healing and fertility.

I'm so happy you got to hear the hb!!! Sorry about Abby's molars...hopefully she'll be back to her self soon.

Karen - I just want to move...I can't imagine going through a remodel with 3 little ones. Plus, I think it would be very stressful on a marriage...even under the best of conditions. I'll continue looking for a deal. (Not likely to happen here in Southern CA.)
