Advice needed

Hi everyone,

I had surgery for my ectopic pregnancy on May 7. I had my right tube removed. The doctor said to wait until August to try again. I had af on June 10th and my next one should be around July 10. That would have me ovulating in the last week of July. Do you think that is close enough to August to ttc?? Or would you think I should wait until my next cycle and try the end of August? I know this is something I should ask the doctor but I value your opinions. What do you think? As you can probably guess I am extremely anxious to try again.

Also one more question...after my surgery my belly button was sore where the incision was but then it felt better. But the past couple days that incision is feeling very sore again. Should I be worried? Anyone else have that happen??

Hi Lynn,

I had my surgury in September 2002, and started trying December 2002. I O'd pretty darn close to 3 months after my surgery and did get PG. Both DD and I came out fine.

Feeling twinges and pains from the incision marks are pretty normal, I think. I felt them for a good 6 months after my surgery. They became less noticable as time went by. I thought I would feel them more as I got bigger, but I don't remember much about them so they must have went away gradually.

I think if a/f comes close to August - it can't hurt to try again...he probably wanted to make sure you had a couple of cycles first.... I'd call the office to make sure.
