Please educate a Midwesterner who has just relocated to the South. Do you constantly have a bug problem in your home? I have lived in Alabama for two months now and just can’t get over all of the bug problems we are having. We currently live in an apartment and even had to hire a bug control company yet we are still having problems.

I would really appreciate any information, tips, experience, etc. Yes we have bugs in the Midwest, but not to the degree that we have them here. I am wondering if this is a Southern thing I will have to get used to or if it is the apartment community that I live in.

ZackZaneMom ~ Thank you for responding. Do you live in a house or an apartment? I believe that some of our neighbors are contributing to the problem which is one of the reasons I don't like apartment living. Because we are brand new to the area, we felt it best to rent the first year so we could decide where we would want to buy a house.

It is good to know that it may not be a Southern thing because I for one do not want to live with bugs and have never had to before. I am not getting a good first impression of this area.
