I don't live in NY anymore, but I had lived in East Meadow, Long Island for a little over two years (from 2001-2003). I had lived in a cute little studio apartment that was walking distance from the Nassau University Medical Center (big hospital on Hempstead Turnpike). I miss NY so much and wanna move back!

I live in Jamaica Estates, Queens - so technically I live on the island. I'm very close to the Nassau border.
