I have been taking Jayna to the Ped Clinic in North Little Rock, but today was the last straw. I can give the whole story if you're interested, but it's long, and bottom line is, I love her ped, but HATE HATE HATE the office staff. They are rude and incompetent. I had some very real concerns, and I was totally brushed off, after holding for 20 minutes and spending 10 minutes waiting in there lobby. I made calls to switch her to a new doctor today. I hope you guys have better luck...

Well, we decided to just take her to our family physician in Cabot. I called there today, and they do well baby visits and vax's, so we're going to do that. I really like him, and he has been Jeremy's doctor since he was a kid. That'll save us about 40 miles of driving per visit...

I'm lucky. The doctor who was MY pediatrician here in Hot Springs- he met with my mother while she was pregnant, and then was my doctor until I was 18- is now Clarke's pediatrician. He is a wonderful doctor as well as a first rate person. I don't know what I'd do if he hadn't said that even though he wasn't taking any new patients, that he'd DEFINATELY take my son (and he had tears in his eyes when he told me so!).

That's so sweet, Sarah! I don't live in the town where I grew up, and even if I did, my ped is retired. I loved her! I really wished I was as lucky as you!

The ped clinic is REALLy about to get it from me. (long story made short, my husband had strep throat, and I found out just minutes after leaving their office for her 6 month check up. His dr suggested that I take her back for a quick check. I called, was on hold for 15 minutes, never got to talk to anyone. Went back to the office, stood in the lobby for 10 minutes, got a phone call from them on my cell phone while I was standing right there! In the end, they refused to allow her to be seen- even for a 5 minute check.)

My dr there is so unaccessible it's not even funny. They wouldn't even allow me to leave a voice mail for her to call me back. I have left 2 messages to get her records, and I have left 2 message w/ the administrator so I can tell someone why I'm taking her elsewhere (since they wouldn't let me talk to the dr.).
