Well, we didn't have any luck looking for a place to live. Or, actually I should say we had luck, but it was BAD.

First off, we couldn't get ahold of anyone to have them show us their place for rent. Then, when we finally got to look at some we were in awe at the horrible condition some of the houses/apts were in.

We saw one house that had rooms so small I don't think a crib would even fit in them!! There was this duplex we were really interested in. We took all the trouble to set up an appt with a woman to see it only to find out that they don't allow cats. They allow DOGS, but not cats!

I guess because cat pee is worse than dog's. Of course, this duplex was so nice and even cheaper than some of the miniscule houses we looked at. Oooooo, I was so pissed when she said they don't allow cats!
Then to top it off, our van broke down while we were up there too!!!! We were on our way to go visit a friend of mine on Wed. eve, and the stupid belt that has come off twice already came off again and George couldn't get it back on. SO, we had to sit in the rain in the hot van waiting for a tow truck to come. Peter thought the tow truck was cool though.

Luckily, George's dad left the keys to his truck at their house (George's parents are on vacation) so we could use that to look at the last few places we had scheduled to look at. George said the last place he looked at (Peter and I didn't go) would work out okay, but it's a tri-level tri-plex and their are two bedrooms upstairs and one on the lower level. I'm not majorly impressed with the looks of the neighborhood and no yard either. So, it looks like we will either be going up again in the next couple weeks to look again or we will be moving into George's parents' house until we do find something.
Okay, I admit, NOW I am freaking out!

I'm sure things will work out, but this is getting very frustrating to say the least!

Thanks for listening!
