A Nevada Mom here?

I just found this board today and would like to get to know some moms in the Henderson/Las Vegas area! I have lived in Henderson now for about 6 years, moved from So. Cal. I now have a little girl who is 13 months old, her name is Riley! I am a full-time working mom and Riley attends daycare during the day.
I look forward to getting to know you all!

Hi Michelle! Welcome, there aren't many of us Nevadans on here & those of us who are on here don't seem to post much. I was born & raised in Vegas and have recently moved to Henderson too! I also work full-time & on the daysthere is no one to watch Caera, she goes to an in-home daycare. Caera is 4mo. old. BTW, Riley is beautiful!!!

I'm in Henderson too! I moved here from San Diego not quite 2 years ago. I am a SAHM with a DD who turns two on Sunday, and we are expecting DD #2 in April!

Melissa is right...there aren't too many of us, and I must say that I am definitely guilty of not checking in very often! Good to see someone else from around here!

Thank you Melissa (proudmommy)! Caera is beautiful too and I love her name! We looked into a private home daycare but decided on putting her in La Petite and we got really lucky with the care that she receives. I had a lot of fears about putting my child in a daycare, I'm sure you had that too.

Also, thank you Melissa (msslou)! Congratulations on your dd due in April! We are actually going to San Diego for a vacation on Saturday, we are really looking forward to going!

It really is a shame that there aren't more mommy's here from Nevada. I hope to get to know the two of you more! Hope your weekend is going well!

It is really tough leaving Caera in daycare, but luckily my DH is a firefighter & only works 10 days a mo. Also, my FIL is semi-retired & loves to take her. So she only goes to daycare part-time. Also the woman who watches her has been watching all of my friends' kids for 10yrs. now, so she's highly recommended.

I live in Las Vegas. My dh is in the AF and we got stationed here in march of this year. I already know Melissa (proudmommy). Nice to see other ppl from here. I am a SAHM of 3. Rhesa (re-sa) who is 3, Gavin who will be 2 on dec. 29th, and Alivia who will be 4months old Dec. 7th.

Riley is a beautiful little girl, btw

Sorry I haven't responded to your posts until now. I just got back from our first family vacation. We went to my dh's parents house for thanksgiving in so. cal and then spent the next saturday in san diego for a week. It was great and we had a lot of fun! I will post a couple pics as soon as I can!

I'm from Vegas too! We're originally from WA, but have been here almost two years.
