Default Any suggestions for SD?

My sister is coming down to San Diego for a wedding. She 9 & 7 year old boys. They only have one day and are looking for something fun to do.

She thought of SD Wild Animal Park, but thought since it is August, the animals would be sleeping because of the heat and it would be crowded.

Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

My top choices would be the Zoo (cooler than the wild animal park), Sea World, and Legoland, not necessarily in that order.

There is a ton of stuff to do in San Diego. If she likes the organized expansive parks that is one thing, but personally I would suggest just going to the beach. Visiting La Jolla or Coronadi is always fun and more flexible.

I wish I knew. I have never been to San Diego myself.

The WAP would be sooooooo hot!!!

I'd take them to Legoland in Carlsbad, definitely Sea World and of course the beach is always fun. Maybe a baseball game?

Okay.. so I'm totally late on this one! I don't know when she's coming down, or if she already has, but... anyway...
I love living here because there's so MUCH to do. I went to Sea World in June with a group of people with all aged children, including my DD who was only 8 months, and still did great! The beach is always fun, especially Mission Beach, because there's a roller coaster and arcades and stuff for older kids to do. Of course, when we go to the beach we tend to go to the Navy base- less crowded, since nobody else can get on!
I hope she had/has a great time, whatever is decided! San Diego is a very fun, interesting place and you should never be bored!

Thanks you guys!!! My sister was down last week and went to the zoo. She said it wasn't too insane.

I'm in Orange County and while I know most of the sights down there...I thought I might have been missing something.
