Hi Girls!
Sorry it took so long to post. We've had family in and out since we got home on Thursday. Well.....
Here she is....MISS KIRSTEN NICOLE

Here are the details...
My water broke on Monday night at 9:40pm while I was cleaning house. It was a small amount, but enough for me to go into panic mode and get to the hospital. My labor with Kendall was just about 4 hours, start to finish, and I got my epi at 9cm's.....so I was in pure panic trying to get to the hospital to get an epi in time. My Mom came to watch Kendall (who was peacefully sleeping by then...thank god) and off we went.
We got to the hospital at 10:15ish and they checked me....3cm. My labor hadn't started at all yet.....just a few contractions here and there which I had been having all week anyway. No pain...just lots of leaking fluid. My doctor told me to start walking the hallways to see if we could get things started. I asked if they could first do my b/w and IV fluids so that I could have the epi when I was ready. I was in pure panic still about not having time for the epi. When my labor starts I go FAST!!! So, they did the b/w and gave me some saline fluids. I began my hall walking.
12am came and went. 2am came and went. I was 4cm and my labor had still not kicked in. I asked the nurse to discuss some Pitocin with my doctor. She said that my doctor was sleeping in the doctors lounge and they would be waking her shortly and they would ask then. I began to get annoyed. I was SO hungry and anxious. The nurses kept telling me to just get some sleep....yeah...that wasn't going to happen.
4am came and went. 6am came and went. I was really starting to get annoyed. I knew once my labor started it would be quick and we could meet our little girl. The only reason they didn't give me the Pitocin was because my doctor probably wanted to sleep and it was so early in the am. I was pi$$ed!
At 6:30am I demanded to see my doctor. By this time I was starving, tired and beyond annoyed. Finally at 7am my doctor ordered Pitocin. The nurser started it and I asked to have my epi (still not in any pain, but I wasn't taking the chance of not getting one). My epi was put in (painless) and I finally started labor at 8:30am. The nurse told me she'd be back in a few hours to check me. I warned her that it would be less than an hour and she laughed at me. (She was getting on my last nerve at this point).
At 9:00am there was a shift change and my favorite doctor came in!!!
There are 3 in my practice and the lazy-sleeping-doctor was now going home and finally I had something good happen! My favorite doctor went to check me and the bitchy nurse told him that there was no way I was more than 6-7cm...he checked me anyway and I was 10cm....100%effaced and the baby was at 2+ station. Ready to push!!! I looked over and smiled at the nurse....her jaw was on the floor. I went from 4cm to 10cm in less than an hour....which I knew I would once we got going.
At 9:30 I got a new nurse too!
and I began to push. 5 pushes later (and a very small tear) Miss Kirsten Nicole was born! It was amazing. I even touched her head as she was crowning. She let out with an amazing scream! It was such an amazing birth (once things got moving). Dh cut the cord and I nursed her.
She is beautiful and looks just like Kendall. She is a peaceful baby....and she sleeps so well. She is nursing like a champ. I have already pumped and let Dh bottle feed her as well. She has no problem doing both.
Kendall has been a HUGE help so far....putting diapers away and helping with the baby. We are all doing great and I can't believe that we have our second miracle child home with us!
