Default Hello!

I posted in the "Tell us.." thread, but I just wanted to give a little hello to you all.

Short history:
My name is Tina (formerly curlyhair10 I think) and I'm married to my DH Joe. We tried for 4 years before finally receiving our miracle son, Joseph Aven. He was welcomed into the world December 21st, 2006.

Hello and I can't wait to jump right in.

Hi! It doesn't seem like there is a ton of activity on this board...I try to pop on every other day or so and see what's happening, though. Congratulations on your miracle baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had my little girl in November so we are not too far apart. Hope to get to know you.

Tina

Congratulations on finally becoming a momma! As I said on the other thread, Aven is a real cutie, I just love his superhero pic!

Yes this board is a slow one, I guess all of us "FINALLY-I'M-A-MOM" types are busy with our precious babies/children!! - we don't want to miss a moment of them/haven't a moment to spare for computer time/are so sleep deprived/had enough typing with struggling with TTCing! But many do keep popping back from time to time with updates.

I do hope you stick around and tell us all about your son and how life is now that you are a parent.

Best wishes, I look forward to getting to know you.

Thank you for the warm welcome. I had a difficult time with being a new mommy at first. Felt disconnected and always scared that someone was coming to take my baby. Like I was the babysitter and not his mom. Got really depressed and was crying all the time for nothing. Then one day I woke up and it just felt different. I felt happier. Now I've been able to really enjoy my son and learn all kinds of new things about him.

I'm so glad those initial (and understandable) feelings went away, and that you are now able to enjoy being mommy to your little boy.

Although I have to admit having a baby, and caring for a toddler has been way way more of a "challenge" than I ever imagined....I love watching Mason grow and develop. And now that he is finally hugging me back....oh how my heart swells!!!

Enjoy motherhood Tina, it's one almighty rollercoaster ride!

Hi Aven! I'm sorry I haven't seen your post before now ... I am one of those moms that don't seem to have time for anything anymore! But I do get over here when I can! I wanted to tell you I felt EXACTLY the same way when my girls were born ... I actually felt like I had made a big mistake and that "my" life was over and now I had to take care of these babies as some sort of "obligation." But, then things changed ... and I think it was when they started smiling, I saw that there was going to be some joy in being a mom ... and now, it's just the awesomest thing ever!!! They are so much work, but I can't figure out what in the world I ever did with my time before them ... I must have been bored sick! LOL Anyway, I'm so glad you're feeling better, and know that things continue to get better and better and better!

I always say I'm going to try to get over here more often, and I'll say it again so don't give up on me!

And welcome!!!!
