I asked for this board to be set up quite a while ago (years?) and called it Parenting after Infertility/IVF but it was meant to be welcoming to all that had suffered infertility before finally becoming a parent (in whatever way they became a parent: "naturally", "with a little help", IUI, IVF in all it's forms, donor, adoption, fostering etc.) For a while we had some regulars, mostly those I used to TTC with way back when (hmmm gosh from 2000 even!). The title I picked was in an effort to combine the graduates from the 'PG after Infertility' and 'PG after IVF' boards (I had wanted to merge those boards way back when I hosted on there also). The only problem was, those in charge of setting up new boards decided the best place to start this "Parenting after Infertility/IVF" board was over on SK Toddlers to Teens, rather than the SK Just Add Baby. It was hard to find...I had to hope people would follow the siggy in my link, like you did. Then recently when SK did the re-shuffle and closed down TTT, this board made it over to where I always wanted it - the Just Add Baby Boards. My theory is that it's the ones that have been furiously posting whilst TTCing then during their "miracle" PG that most want to post once they finally become a mommy. I do hope that some of our "oldies" will still swing by from time to time...but it's seems one by one they are disappearing from the boards...possibly caught up in their busy lives as moms.
Anyway, this board is here for anybody that wishes to post here, aimed at anybody that dealt (or is still dealing) with infertility. I continue to visit regularly on the look out for new posts, but even I have gotten a bit disheartened with starting up chats when nobody else joins in!! Maybe the next new batch of IUI or IVF babies will easily find this board and start posting in coming months? Or else, maybe they all will belong on due date/born in boards?
We will see....
