Alisa
Hey there Alisa
It sounds like you and I are going through similar with our little 8 month old boys! Like Keegan, Mason is crawling at a speed of light, and pulling up on EVERYTHING (including windows!). We too are quickly trying to put everything away out of his reach, and our home is fast getting very bare! Mason is getting lots of bruises, on his knees from crawling on the wooden floors and his head -as he often gets too confident and lets go when standing....and of course falls, either backwards with a big crack!! or knocks his forehead as he comes down. He too is very "independent", and not really the cuddly sort! He just doesn't stop from morning to night, it's hard to even convince him to have sleeps during the day.....
and though it breaks my heart to leave him 4 days per week to go to work (luckily DP is able to stay at home with him this year), it gives me a little rest kind of! We also are looking for daycare for next year.....though I don't know how I'll be able to leave him with strangers....... I'm sorry that you also need to return to work - don't you wish money did grow on trees?!
Has Keegan got any teeth? Mason hasn't.....but he loves his food!!! Gummy chews on pieces of toast....and on anything else he can reach!
Good luck with the child care hunting (and the job hunting? or do you have one lined up already?)
