Good ultrasound today. Eli is already about 4lbs, which is no surprise to me-All Hail my Super Uterus . Average weight for 29w gestation is a little over 2.5 pounds, LOL. (and considering based on the same guidelines, average weight @ 41w gestation is under 8lbs, well, we all see how well my children follow THAT average )

My doctor wasn't concerned or surprised, I think he'd be more concerned if I magically made a small baby, hahaha!

Good appt, Eli looks perfect, he's head down, but posterior and thus no face shots, lots of penis shots though!! Totally the opposite of the girls-they gave up their faces all day long, but were so stingy with the bits

Doc appt was so so. My OB is driving me crazy LOL. He's all like "well unless your heart starts to fail, I don't want to induce you until 39w". The man is smoking large quantities of crack, apparently.

Why is it last time with Catti, when I was SO against induction, he asked me from like 37w on if I wanted to be induced?!?!?! "Are you uncomfortable? Would you like to be induced?"

Grrrr. I told him I was worried about my heart, b/c the longer I am pregnant, the greater the risk of relapse and he kinda poo-poo'd that. It's an odd dance-he's more concerned about baby, and cardio is more concerned about heart-I told him that my cardio absolutely did NOT want me to go past 37w, UNLESS Eli's lungs were not developed, regardless of if I am relapsing or not, and my OB was kinda like "whatever" about that.

Luckily I see my cardio on Friday, and I am going to beg him to send a letter to my OB or call him and be like DUDE!!! Do an amnio and induce no later than 37w!!!

IF my heart is ok, and Eli's lungs are not ready, I'm ok with waiting, but if his lungs are ok, obviously he's not going to be a tiny baby and I think it'll be FINE to induce "early", and why risk relapsing?? The fear of relapse and the fear of late term stillbirth would be enough to send me to a mental hospital if I go much past 37w!!!

So I'll talk to my cardio and hopefully he can convince my OB.

Besides the fact re:induction it's also amusing b/c usually they are all "induce asap b/c of Gestational Diabetes", so that combined with heart failure, stillbirth, AND history of large babies, I'm like thinking UHH WHAT???? WHY ARE YOU NOT INDUCING ME YOU FOOL!!!

Plus the whole big baby thing, I mean I DO want to try another vaginal birth, and if Eli is over 10lbs, they won't let me, so at 39w, well, if he was on Catti's growth pattern, he would probably be over 10lbs, so hello csection.

So that's kind of stressful, but I'm just going to trust I can get my cardio to work some heart doctor magic

There is a slightly higher risk with an amnio with an anterior placenta, but honestly that risk doesn't seem to be as big of a risk as that of going back into heart failure, kwim?

Also my OB felt that as long as my sugars have been under control and will be in labor, that there won't be any need or worry about supplementation.
