Which questons?
Dh & I are meeting w/ RE for a consult tomorrow after suffering our 4th loss. (The third one in just 10 months.)
I was wondering if you ladies have any suggestions on what kinds of questions we should ask, I thought I'd show up w/ a list of them, so as to cover everything I want to discuss.
We have both done karyotyping (normal), dh's S/A is fine, no blocked tubes or other abnormalities for me, only prob is hormonal which is fixed by meds. I do injectibles, Femara and IUI w/ Progesterone, extra folic acid and baby aspirin.
Any thoughts would be appreciated! Thanks!

Re: Which questons?
Angie,
I am so sorry for your losses. Hopefully you will get some answers from your RE.
They should do blood work to test for blood clotting disorders, (Antiphospholipid, anticardiolipin antibodies, lupus anticoagulant, factor v leiden, there are several others). Your RE should know this - it is part of the recurrent miscarriage work up. Also test blood glucose levels for diabetes. If it turns out you have a blood clotting issue, it can be treated with a combination of lovenox injections and baby aspirin.
HTH!
Nicole

Re: Which questons?
Thanks for the reply. We've done that bloodwork already, and it came out normal. I believe we'll do thyroid and fsh levels again, but not sure after that. I'm not gonna give up until she tests for every possible thing. She's a great RE, I know she will. I just got pg so easily w/ IUI, every time I did a treatment cycle at their clinic (except for once when dh's count was low) it worked. It's the losses that are baffling.
Do you mind if I ask have they found a reason for your losses?? I see in your siggie, and I'm so very sorry!

Re: Which questons?
Hi Angie,
I used to be a regular on this board, but after 4 miscarriages in 8 months I am finally 24 weeks pregnant. I just happened back on this site today and saw your thread. I can sympathise with exactly what you are going through! I have to say, after falling pregnant first time with my two kids, I thought I would have no trouble going for a third. Boy, was I wrong! I fell pregnant so easily with my next 4, but lost all of them before 8 weeks. I was at a loss to explain why it was happening. I never thought infertility would be a problem I faced.
Anyway, I had all the tests done and they found nothing wrong with me, which made my problems even more heartbreaking. I eventually went to a homeopath/naturopath and had a really good 3.5 hour therapy session with her. She sent me home with a barrage of supplements and remedies and a week later found out I was pregnant again. At 6 weeks I started bleeding again and I thought "here we go again". I went back to my homeopath straight away and she put me on some remedies to ward off "avoidable miscarriages". I spotted continually for another 7 weeks, but I am now 24 weeks pregnant with a perfect little girl so I know something worked! I tell everyone "my homeopath kept me pregnant!", and I truly believe it.
What I am saying is, whilst medical science is amazing and can do so much, you need to maybe try something a little unconventional. After all, it can't hurt! I hope you got more information from your doctor, and i truly hope you are on your way to falling pregnant. I wish you all the luck I have to give!
