Default Update

I'm not as active on this board as I used to be but this was the board I started out on when we started TTC.

I had my RE appointment yesterday. I really liked the RE. He is very nice. They decided I had PCOS and started me on Metformin. Which my body doesn't like right now. I have an HSG scheduled on Monday. They suspect that I have endo too but they don't like to jump straight into a lap, they like to see if anything shows up on the HSG. Next month I will do a clomid challenge test. Based on that he will decide if he wants me to do more cycles of clomid. My DH will also do a S/A when he feels up to producing that. The doctor said don't rush it just do it when you feel comfortable.

Thanks for the update!
I was thinking about you and wondering how your appt went.
Metformin has done wonders for MANY women and can totally help balance out your hormones that get all out of whack with insulin resistance/pcos.
That on its own could be a HUGE factor in helping you out.
Combined with the gameplan of testing the RE has for you, I really think you are on your way
I hear you on the "when he's up to it" that can be a very daunting task for alot of gentlemen.
Mine was NOT super happy about it, but was surprised to find out that his normal morphology was WAY low.
A good Man's multivitamin that includes selenium and vitamin C could be a good preventative measure.
It increased my hubbys percentage from only 4% to 18%.
(learned the vitamin tricks from the ladies at TTC after VAs/Tubal Reversal )
Thanks for keeping us posted!

I agree with Shilo a game plan is a good thing. It can be difficult sitting in the chair across from the RE taking it all in, BTDT; but its a means to a goal and so worth it. GL with the HSG, remember to take a bit of Tylenol before hand. DH had issues with giving "samples", but I'd lift up my shirt show him my belly covered in bruises from the shots and he'd appreciate that it was a challenge for both of us. Some want to talk about it, others want to act like it never happened.

Nothing really informative to add, just that I'm behind you cheering, and praying that you get a BFP soon - hopefully next cycle!
Good luck!
