*scratches head*
Okay ladies, it's time to start the POAS obsession....well tomorrow anyways. My problem is that I have a condition called central diabetes insipidus. Ordinarily, not an issue with proper medication. Unfortunately, my medication ran out a few weeks ago. Because of this, I'm constantly drinking water and peeing on an hourly basis. We're talking Niagara Falls type pee runs. This isn't just during the day. Oh no, my body loves to get me up out of bed every hour and a half to pee and drink during the night too.
So the question is this....what do I consider as my FMU? And if I'm drinking so much water, should I worry about the pee being diluted? Should I try my best to sew my legs shut after waking up so it has some time to concentrate?

Re: *scratches head*
If you are drinking water like that and peeing that often, it will be hard to get a positive test if you are pregnant.
<Hear motherly but well-meaning tone> Being off your medicine is dangerous! You should really figure out how to get that prescription filled ASAP, even if it costs a lot of money! It can also hurt your chances of having a good pregnancy. You have to take care of yourself!

*hangs head* I know I know. I have an appointment next week. I can get a pregnancy test done at the same time, but I wanted to do it at home.

Re: *scratches head*
I think they do a pee test unless a blood is necessary. If there's a wee one baking in there, it will become apparent. Even if the pee is too diluted. We'll find out eventually....at least by April :p

Re: *scratches head*
well, with your condition, the pee will always be diluted... my concern is that this condition worsens during pregnancy.... how was it during your other pregnancies... and YES, naughty girl! lol get your meds!!!
Eventually, no matter what, you will get that , even with diluted urine, just might be a bit more difficult, you may need to have higher hcg levels in the uring in order for the test to come up positive.

Re: *scratches head*
Shilo, I don't know how it happened last night, but I got 6 hours of sleep without getting up to pee. The condition began while I was pregnant with my son in combination with gestational diabetes mellitus. The mellitus went away, the insipidus did not.
But thanks to being able sleep without peeing last night, I was able to test this morning. And to think I almost didn't....
It's faint, but it's there. I'm not imagining it, my daughter saw it too.
