I will try and make this simple (yeah right My cycles are traditionall y 28 days. Every now and then 27 or 29. The 1st day of my last cycle was Mon Jan 14. I was doing OPK testing and they were VERY negative up until the 28th so I figured I was having an anovulatory (spelling ? ) cycle so I stopped testing ( I am 39 yo...ugh) So on Tues night 29th we did the 'horizontal bop' w/out protection. Here is the interesting part. On friday am Feb 1st I felt a very sharp pain in my lower right side near where I believe my ovary to be. Then I had a mild discomfort in the spot for about 2 hours afterward. It made me think..."could I have just ovulated?" So to squelch my curiosity and my insatiable desire to POAS (any stick ) I did an OPK and it was positive.
So, I guess my not so short long winded ? is do you think ovulation is the pain I felt and could i get preggers?
I know it is probably a long shot but just wondered what you guys think. Thanks for any input. Also 1 more and probably stupid ? How do you count DPO? Is 1 DPO the day you ov or the next day.
Not a stupid question at all.
I was able to feel o pain, and it was as you described, every month, and temping and my clearblue fertility monitor correlated the same info.
VERY possible to get pregnant.
The last two times I got pregnant was the day before o.
(and actually, sometimes the o pain is right after the egg has released, so you may have ovulated the day before that.)
Swimmers can live up to five days in good conditions, so you never know!
