Newbie with a BIG????

Hello Ladies!!!

My husband and I have been married since New Year's Eve 2007, and this is the 1st month that we have actively been ttc. We have not been preventing, but I am sure that all the other months or timing was off. I was just assuming that I O around day 14, but after a month of charting it seems that I actulally O around day 10....

So, in theory, we did everything right this month...

So here is my question to all of you lovely ladies.... Is it possible to get an evap line on every single test that you take? I have gone a little POAS-crazy for the past few days... Literally, testing every single time I have to go... (sorry, tmi?)

I bought a grip of the internet cheapies and each time I get a very light line, and the line has deffinate color to it, but they all appear right at the 10 minute mark...

Maybe I am just wanting this SO badly that I am grasping at straws....

I know that you are not supposed to read these tests after 10 minutes, but I am riiiight at the 10 minute mark when they show.

I have also read that if they were true evaps there would be NO color to them, at all...

Has anyone else had this before? I mean, I would not be shocked if I got an evap or 2... But, I have this going on with EVERY test (15, so far).

I would appreciate any advice any of you have!!!

first i would say post a pic so we can agonize with you. second i would go to peeonastick.com and look at the stats on your preggo test. some cheapies are notorious for false positives, evap lines, the whole shebang. GL.

Almost all my IC had an evap line. sumtimes with slight colour and sometimes without. I would strain myself into a headache trying to figure out if it was a line or not.
In the end, when this last cycle i actually DID get a real second line, I still wasnt sure because it seemed so light... I must have taken about 25 this very last cycle, lol...but then I double checked with a First Response Early Response and got a definite second pink line

In my opinion, none of the blue dye tests are that great.And the IC, even though it is a pink dye, it still seems like they can give evaps.
How many dpo are you right now?

Thanks, Ladies....

I am only about 11 dpo, as of today, so I know that I am testing early... But, I had a drop in my temp a few days ago down to 97.4 and now I am up to 99.0. I am ususally about 98.4.... That and I have been having these wierd little pains... Almost like someone poking me with a white-hot needle...

We had a blighted ovum about 2 years ago, followed by a d&c. I got my BFP with that one at 9 dpo, but had no syptoms at all.

I think I will take a few days off from testing (if I can control myself) and see if the line gets any darker.

I tried to take some pics to post, but they all turned out so dark, I could barely even make out the control line.... I will keep trying, though...

Well, I gave up on the internet cheapies because I am SO uncertain about how accurate they realy are...

So, I went to the $ Tree and bought some tests there....

SAME THING.....

Right at the 10 minute mark, I get a faint pink line.

Event the DH admited he could clearly see it. I guess all I can do is wait, test again and hope to see the lines getting darker....

oh how frustrating.
I think with the IC, as long as you get a real line... thick like the other line and with some colour. (not grey) then chances are, its a real line... but if you are taking the same tests, over a period of more than 48 hours, the lines should be getting more visible.
I would suggest getting a FRER, they detects amounts VERY low and should give you a definite line or no line.
Sometimes, a line that is not an evap but that doenst get darker and eventually stops showing up at all is a chemical pregnancy. Ive had two of those also and its very confusing to see a + test then to have it disappear.
