Default long Luteal phase?

Anyone know about long luteal phases? My period is every 28-29 days and I ovulated around cd 11 - 12 which would make my luteal phase 16- 17 days long. Is that normal? Would it cause a problem at all ttc? I dont get to temp b/c I work 12 hour night shift 3 days a week.. so Im not sure about exact days. I got a + opk on cd10... It seems like the more I do this the more clueless I get!

Hi.

k , seriously...
after you get your + on the opk, do you continue using them? I ask this because it is more common than you think for the body to gear up to o, giving a + on the opk, and then you DONT o.. but a few days later, another + on an opk will show up and you will ovulate then.
I think if your hpt turns out negative, that i would continue opk'ing after you get your first one, until the end of the cycle, just to make sure you arent having annovulatory cycles.
The temping SO helps with that, but I understand about trying to temp with a crazy shift.

Yeah I still have that schedule... I dont like it but I love working in Labor and Delivery. My doctor advised I get a day job, but there is nothing available that Im really interested in. Anyways, yes I kept doing the opks for a few days after the positive and it was really light then neg. Sooo... I might test on monday. I have had a lot of slight cramping though.... so maybe, baby?
