Well, I'm here...even if I don't really think that we have a great shot this month..timing was all off and it just doesn't FEEL like it's THE MONTH but, hey, anything can happen, right?

Amanda~ That's the Golden Question!

I wish I could say that I am most definitely will not test til af is late...but I can't. Even though I know I spent a small fortune on hpts (as many of us here do) last month and I'm trying not to do the same this month. That and I have never gotten a + before af was late. And even though I know it just makes me absolutely NUTS...even with all that I will most likely p/u a couple of $$$ store tests here in a couple of days. That way at least I won't be too nutty (ya know like I'd be if I had some today - I'd test today at only 8 dpo!).

HAHAHA You're cute!!! Does your $Tree keep the pregnancy tests locked up in a bulletproof case at the register?!? lol I went there yesterday and bought some for the first time and I couldn't seem to find them... So I asked the young woman who was stocking deodorant and she said Yes, but we keep them up by the register because a lot of people try to steal them... Uh... Wha? Ooook... So I had the enormous pleasure of standing in line with a couple of men and 2 giggling 13 year old girls behind me while I asked for "3 pregnancy tests please"... I think I can mark that down as #892 on the list of my most embarrassing moments... hehe

Oh god Amanda, I HATE having to buy any kind of feminine things with tons of other people in line. They don't lock up the PG tests here, but they should. People rip into them all the time. Not only at the $tree, but Wal-Mart and other places too.

Brandy good luck on testing day. That's the day I start my cross country drive, so I won't be able to catch up on people's news for almost a week.

the $tree here is in a college town...so yes they are at the counter.

everytime i went in to get them there was a guy checking me out at the counter...why couldnt i ever have a lady there to check me out?

he would look at me funny when i would ask for 5....i think its mostly because i dont look 24.... people always think im 17. i think i will enjoy that later in life, but for now it is sooooooo annoying!

Oh my gosh you do look young! I'm jealous... everyone always guesses my age within a year or two. I don't know about you, but having to ask someone for a pee stick (or 5 lol) was enough of a deterrent for me to NOT go back. In the future I think I'll stick with Walmart and their bottom shelf condom aisle selection, at least that way I can pretend I'm picking up rubbers if I run into someone I know! He he...

In the grocery store they moved them to the check out- yes, in a locked case even! Needless to say I do not do my hpt shopping at THAT establishment! It's in the middle of town and I kid you not I run into somebody I know every single time I'm out and about to begin with...let's add to it the embarrassment of letting some haven't-talked-to-since-high-school-but-now-you-know-I'm-ttc-before-my-own-family
random person in on the secret! Not.

The $$$ store has them at the counter too but also in the aisle- I think that they just run out of room in the aisle because there are always 1000 tests! Lucky for them I am currently in the market for said 1000 tests. Boy do I know what it feels like to be standing there having 5+ ring up together with a line behind me. No doubt I look nuts! And I'm sure someone there thinks I'm some irresponsible HS kid or something because people are always surprised to hear how old I am too. Once during a clinical day at school a patient said, "Why, you must be the youngest nursing student I've ever seen!" When I told her I was 26, married, with 2 kids she was shocked! I'm not even the youngest in my class- let alone EVER! I've also been carded for buying beer while I was like 9 mos pg....too many things about THAT scenario probably looked horrible to onlookers!

Michelle~ you do look young! I think you and your DH are like me and my DH in that aspect. Do people ever think that your DH is older than he is? Derek and I are 3 yrs apart but sometimes people are surprised to hear that we are ONLY 3 yrs apart!

Amanda~ Thanks for the GL wishes...same to you! You're closer than I am!!! In a couple days you can start blowing that +++ energy my way!

Jenny~ I hope you guys have a great, fun, SAFE trip! I'm sure that I will still be waiting to see a when you get back so no worries!

brandy a lady thought that dh was my dad the other day!!! i was looking for some comfy paints (of couse i have to shop in the juniors department) and the lady commented me by saying "your daughter acts so grown up" he just smiled at her then walked over to me and planted one right on my lips! when we walked back by she had the most grossed out face ever! lol dh finaly told her i was his wife as well as my age i cant wait for my tummy to start poking out, imagine the looks we will get then!

LOL Michelle!! When I was pregnant with DD, I was being seen by a military midwife. I was only 18, so I was still under my dad's insurance. She took just a quick glance at my chart, practically salivated and said "ohhhh you're an officer's wife". I was thinking, what does that matter, before I corrected her, reminding her my family member number was 03 for 3rd child rather than 30 for wife.

Brandy / Amanda, the comic came from baby-gaga.com. They have a different cartoon for every week, I read through them all yesterday.
