I'm SOOO Impatient!
So I went in yesterday to check my progesterone, and I had blood drawn first thing in the morning. I'm going CRAZY waiting for those results today . . . I already called to find out if they were in, and I got dumped into an automated system with a voice mail box. SOOOO frustrating! I get they don't think these results are important (and in the scheme of things, they aren't), but I need to know! For some reason, I guess I have a lot riding on these numbers - after last cy, I'm very worried that I have a progesterone problem, and if I do, I want to start taking supplements right away. I know - i should totally relax - but can't seem to do that.

Re: I'm SOOO Impatient!
I hope your numbers come back great! The waiting game sucks, no matter what the wait is you are going through.

Still no results . . . . doctor's office never called.
I just want to know if I have a progesterone issue . . . or if I'm actually ovulating. I am SOOOO frustrated. Hopefully, they'll call tomorrow.

Thanks, Shilo. How is Dante doing? Are you getting any sleep yet?

Re: I'm SOOO Impatient!
sleep! Yes... 2-3 hours here and there. I sleep from midnight til about 3, and 3 til about 6, and sumtimes even about 6-9. Just depends. Problem is, i keep falling asleep with him at the breast in bed with me, even tho Dante and I have the whole kingsize bed to ourselves, with a firm matress and sleeping on top of the covers with just a thin sheet over top, I still worry when I wake up and see that I havent put him in the basinette.. Ive GOT to try harder to stay awake til the feed is done.
Pablo sleeps on the couch so that Dante and I have lots of room.
Now... any answer on that prog test?!

Re: I'm SOOO Impatient!
Yeah - thanks for checking back. I guess sleeping in fits is better than not sleeping at all! I hear it gets easier. I understand about being scared of falling asleep with the baby in bed. It isn't quite the same thing, but when my dog was a baby, I got her REALLY early (she was about 6 1/2-7 weeks old, and couldn't chew any food). She only weighed 1 1/2 lbs, and she would wake up every few hours all night to be fed. I had to feed her from a little bottle for the first 2 weeks, and I would fall asleep on the bed sometimes feeding her. I was so panicked I would crush her, or she'd fall off the bed and hurt herself. We both survived and all is well!
As for my progesterone . . . it wasn't good - it was only 4.85 at 7DPO. So, it looks like I had an insufficient O. My doctor was out of town, and the nurse got me a prescription for progesterone, but from what I understand, all the progesterone in the world isn't going to help if the egg is no good! I was really down yesterday - it was my birthday, and I melted down. It was just hard to wrap my head around the idea that there was no chance I was pg this month, and that we likely have a long journey ahead of us. Once I got a grip - I took action.
So, I'm supposed to talk to my OB again next week and discuss trying Clomid this next cy. I also went ahead and made an appt to meet with an RE in 2 weeks, so if my doctor doesn't act on the Clomid this cy, I should be on Clomid for the October Cy (by the time the doctor runs his tests, etc). I HATE waiting, but I guess we're finally moving in the right direction and I can stop killing time and wondering. The good news is that some form of O on my own is better than nothing . . . I'm hoping that means I have a better chance of O'ing on a low dose of Clomid.
I'm using the progesterone for the next couple of days . . . perhaps a good level of progesterone can kick-start a better cy, but I guess with my PCOS, that is not likely. I'll talk to the doctor about increasing my dosage of metformin, too. In the meantime, I'm just sitting and waiting for AF, and probably not expecting anything big for next cy if I'm not on Clomid.
