Frustrated with this cycle...
Well, ladies, today is CD 27 and my chart isn't showing ovulation yet, although I'm hoping it happened and my chart is messed up b/c of stupid thermometer. I had some EWCM on Wed. and I'm reallllllly hoping that wasn't o, b/c DH has been out of town since Wed. afternoon so no ! It would really upset me b/c we've been like crazy the whole rest of this cycle. Surely I wouldn't o on CD 25 while on Clomid!!! I'm actually hoping that the dip 2 days ago was implantation, although that could just be wishful thinking. My cycles have been 34 days, so I guess I have about a week to go!! I'm just really frustrated with this cycle!!

Re: Frustrated with this cycle...
Well, good news and bad news
Good news first. before actual o is more effective than on o day itself. This is because it takes many hours for the sperm to swim up the fallopian tube to meet with the mature egg, so having sperm already there waiting is great. The egg begins to distintegrate mere hours after its release, to if u on o day, but not the day or two before, then chances are, by the time the lil swimmers get up there, it could be too late...
bad news.. i hate to say this, but your multiple days of ewcm and no temp shift really looks like this cycle is annovulatory. Any way you could get in for prog. bloodwork to check for ovulation?
Looks like the clomid got your body rreared up to o on the 15th, but that it just keeps trying and hasnt happened.
I know that is pretty common for pcos. Keeping my fingers crossed that some nice high temps show up

Re: Frustrated with this cycle...
I'm right there with ya, I have no idea what is going on with me this cycle either. Even FF can't figure it out for sure. I possibly O'd on CD 19 (I think) but today my temp took a HUGE dip. My CM is so bizarre as well. I think this month might be no O for me too. So weird and frustrating. I've also been having some pain and swelling on my right ovary, not really a good sign I don't think

Re: Frustrated with this cycle...
I feel your pain, too - I've been spotting for 3 days, haven't had a +OPK yet, even though my temps indicate O. Very confusing!

Re: Frustrated with this cycle...
Meremoongirl--yeah, I know what you're saying--my doc isn't monitoring me, though, so I don't know how I'd go about asking for a test... I am expecting AF next weekend though...question: if AF comes, does that mean I ovulated, or can that happen w/o ovulation? That might be a dumb question, but I was wondering. The nurse I've been talking to, who has been filling my scripts, asked me last time if I ovulated on 50 mg and I just assumed yes since I had a period (didn't temp). Is that a wrong assumption? Because if it is, I'd like to try 100 mg next time around.
Monica and Tkeys, isn't it crazy how our bodies can be totally confusing sometimes? Sometimes I think I'd give just about anything to have a regular, 28 day, like clockwork, cycle!
Thanks for the resposes, girls. everyone gets their BFPs this time, despite our crazy cycles!

Re: Frustrated with this cycle...
Sarah -
A period doesn't necessarily mean you ovulated . . . or O'd well. I actually get periods with my PCOS - in fact, I only occasionally miss a period (well, at least I think . . . I haven't been off bcp much since I was 12 years old - maybe 2 other cys in my life, plus the last 3, but I didn't miss periods for the 1 year I had my period before going on bcp). HOWEVER, I have abnormal periods - mine are too long. I got periods every month before starting clomid - but my cys were getting a bit longer, and I had my progesterone drawn and that was too low. But, if you looked at my charts, it even LOOKED like I was ovulating.
So, the bottom line, only the progesterone test can really confirm if you O'd. Even if you aren't being monitored, you could request a progesterone test. I'd also definitely use the OPKs . . . a surge doesn't mean ovulation, but you can go for a progesterone test about 7 days after having a surge . . . and if you never get a surge, that can also tell you something else. Also, telling your doctor that you don't know if you O'd or not might prompt them to monitor you a bit.
I'm going in on Tuesday for bloodwork if I haven't surged by then . . . and if I do, then I go in 5 days after the surge.
