Okay - I thought this might be fun. Let's post crazy thoughts you've had during the 2ww.

So, I started sneezing last night, and with one of the sneezes, I got serious pain/cramping in my left ovary. So I actually thought (momentarily) that I might have caused my ovary to burst with the force of the sneeze . . . or at least caused the CL cyst to explode, and I had visions of my progesterone levels dropping, and the imaginary implanted embryo dying . . . . all because of a sneeze! I spent half the night taking my temp to make sure my temps weren't dropping. DH kept asking me what I was doing, but I just couldn't tell him that one . . . I was afraid he'd think I had gone off the deep end!

About 2 days ago, I was in the middle of a sneezing fit (my allergies have been terrible this week), and I swear EVERYTHING in me contracted. I of course, for a second, had this image (like a cartoon) of sneezing and the little embryo flying out of you know where from the force of the contraction. I even went so far as to joke with dh about sneezing any possibility of a baby out! We laughed for like an hour. DH suggested we get a turkey baster and put the baby back in (that had us both hysterical).

I could go on . . . but I should probably make sure I'm not the only one with crazy thoughts before I scare everyone! I swear - I'm usually quite sane and grounded.

LOL....I love it. I have had a few crazy thoughts my self and not only thoughts but crazy actions I have make my DH do....LAUGH....maybe I am going crazy waiting.

I was so very stress and in tears the other night and my DH said he was going to run me a bath so I could relax and get my mind off everything....I said "There is NO way I am getting in that bath!!" he replied "why?" (As it is something I love) and I said "I am scared the water / heat will suck the baby out and then we will not have success this month if I have a bath!!!" He looked at me like I was crazy and said that is not possible. But I just told him thank you for trying but I am going to stick with showers for now.

Now for the crazy things I make my DH do.....LOL....and he does them. I make him put at least one hand on my belly and say repeat after me: "Baby, you hang in there....no coming out!!", "You need to implant your self nice and secure in mommy's tummy so we can met you in May!!!" & "Baby...this is your dad, you are NOT allowed to come out early....you stay inside till you are fully developed!!". I make him do and say stuff like that at least once a day.....Am I crazy?

I hope that give you ladies a good chuckle!!! Tkeys - I have never really though of sneezing that way.....but I do not do it often or I most likely would.

I tell ya the stuff that runs through our heads is crazy!!!

Okay - I am with you on the bath thing. I LOVE hot showers - I mean scalding hot - my dh always jokes that he prefers to be medium-rare, not well-done (we fight over shower temp). So, every 2ww, I get this image of roasting the baby . . . I've been taking pretty tepid showers for the last week and a half (I didn't want to bake the spermies before O).

I never really thought of the "suck the baby out" thing . . . I did worry about swimming pre-O and killing sperm, though. Yes, all this ttc stuff definitely is making me nuts!

This isn't really that crazy, atleast I don't think so. But everytime after BD, I say a prayer that this would be the one that works!! I say "please Lord, let the sperm find the egg!!" and I lay my hands on my abdomen. I know one of these times will be the one!!

Andrea, I do the same thing. I also make dh lay hands on my belly and pray over it, asking God to bless us with a baby. I'm glad I'm not the only one!

This is the beauty of sites like SK, so we can bond and realize that we are not crazy and weird, that there are many women out there going through the same thing, having the same thoughts.

Okay, so maybe we are just a little crazy, but crazy is the new normal, right?
