I am having a tough finding a doctor I'm comfortable with. You can read my other posts about it (Dr. Appt & Back from the doctor).

I just can't get answers or even someone who acts like they care.

Do you have any suggestions? (you can PM me if you want)

I know there are a million obgyns in Lex. but I really wanted to have our baby at "St. J (E)" since we live in Richmond it would be close, right off the interstate basically for us.

YES I do have a great one to reccommend. Her name is Dr. O'Nan (Jean I think?) and she delivers at St. Joe East. She just recently opened her own practice. I'll try to find the phone # for you. She is really, really great. It might be hard to get in to see her, but it would be worth it.

The lady who answered was so nice. I'm so excited. Thank you for the recommendation. I don't know why her name never showed up when I was searching on my insurance website, they accept our insurance. oh well.

I'm SO glad to hear that!!!!! You'll really like her. She was the first doctor I went to for the dreaded yearly visit back in college! She'll make you feel really comfortable and is a good listener. Let me know how it goes!!

That was my biggest complaint about the two obgyns I've seen. I always feel rushed and they almost make me feel dumb. I feel like saying "Ok, I am not a doctor, if I knew all of this before hand I would not be here seeing you!"

Sorry I didn't see thist post until today. Don't know how I missed it. I think I'd like the number to that Ob/Gyn as well. I just have been going to my regular doctor for all my check up and stuff, but I hate her. Long story short, when I started going to her like 10 years ago, I think she had just come to America and just learned English because instead of telling me I was "overweight," she actually said to me "Now, Camilla, you know that you are fat?" I haven't like her since

Anyway, I would like to deliver at St. Joe East as well because it's REALLY close to my house. I live near Hamburg.

I would love to get in to see someone and go ahead and check out some of the stuff that's in my family history to make sure that I'm on the right track before I waste a lot of time TTC.

Cammie--well, you'd love Dr. O'Nan...she used to be a part of a practice, and you had to go see all the other doctors in it if she wasn't available--I really didn't care for any of the other ones except her, but I felt like I never GOT her b/c she was always delivering babies so I'd get stuck w/whoever was there!!! But now that she has her own practice, I want to go back to her. I tried someone else and didn't care for him at ALL. You should definitely check her out!! Maybe she'll give me a discount for recommending all you all! Hee hee.
