When to DTD after surge

I have read and been told conflicting information about when to dtd after you see a surge on opk. DH has excellent sperm quality if we wait 4 days between each time we dtd, so we want to make sure we do it at the best time.

We usually dtd the night we get a +opk, and then follow-up a few more times in the next day or two. Is this best, or should we wait until the next day or should we just do it every 2 days up until the +opk to make sure we don't miss it?

I'm confused about when I actually O after getting the +opk.

You should O 12-24 hours after the positive but depending on when you caught the surge (beginning, middle or end) it could be up to 36 hours. I would bd everyday from the surge for a few days. If you chart, then bd until you have a confirmed temp rise.

Uh oh.. i thought it was bet just before and day of the surge.. looks like i missed it again then..
