Default What is going on? Did I ovulate?

My temperature chart is very wonky this month...did I ovulate? I chart and use OPK to time ovulation for my IUI. Anyway I had my LH surge on Day 10, IUI on Day 11. It's now Day 17 and my temperature is so low. Not the normal highs that I have once I ovulate? Is this cycle a bust? Did I ovulate? The day of my surge temp was 96.8 and today temp is 97.5. Very low? this is the first month this has happened to me? Can anyone shed some light on this. Normal temps in the past after ovulation were 98.0, etc? What is happening to me!!!!!!??????????????

Thanks the optimist

It's not necessarily that anything is happening. Were you on injectibles? Meds of any kind? It may be that you haven't O'd yet (can you post the chart link?) or just a fluke. 97.5 is a substantial rise over 96.8. And it may yet continue to rise. And one chart out of how many? I wouldn't stress over it, myself. I would wait and see 1) Whether the IUI was successful ( to you!) and 2) If there is a next cycle, what that next cycle looks like. If you continue to have low temps, I would suggest asking your doc to test your thyroid. Often very low temps are a sign of a hypoactive thyroid condition (though more often it's nothing at all). It will make you feel better to have an answer, I'm sure.

Also, check over at charting. Those ladies have seen it all. I'm sure they can help you feel better about your current chart.

Thanks D. I took your advice and just posed my question on the charting thread. I am not on any meds at all. This is the first cycle in 6 that temps have been so low. thanks for your help.
