Default What Does This Mean???

I am a bit freaked out right now b/c I am 6dpo (day 20/28) verified by history, o-pains, cm, and opk...so I am very anxiously waiting and interpreting every twinge. I have been cramping and having COPIOUS amounts of cm so since I had an opk left, I figured I would pee on a stick to figure out what was going on and it came up with another DARK positive LH...What does that mean? If I dtd again will we have a higher chance of twins, (I had a non-pg ultrasound of my ovaries b/c of serious cramping a few months back and the tech said I had a lot of follicles at ov.) Does this mean the last opk was wrong? (It was just as dark) I am so confused...please help me figure this out.

I am a lurker, so I guess I could have introduced myself before the post's closing, but I am Julie, I live in MI, I am a teacher, have a wonderful DH and 2 beautiful dc.

Thank you so much...

Julie

Hi Julie!! And Welcome!

It's not that the OPK was wrong. It would seem that maybe your body threw you for a loop. Sometimes we have all the signs of O (surges, positive OPKs, EWCM, O pains, etc.) but for whatever reason the egg isn't released. Then a couple of days later, your body can try again and this time actually do what it's supposed to do. It's why so many of us chart. Because it's the only way to know for sure (well, almost for sure) that you did O. Granted, it doesn't tell you until AFTER you have O'd but at least you know when you can just bd for fun, rather than for TTC. Does that make any sense?

I say stay busy!! You won't have a higher chance of twins. Just the same chances as with a regular O. While there seems to be proof that some of us may O more than once a cycle, it's very rare and not likely that you are O'ing again, but rather that you are just simply O'ing.

Dont' you wish all of this could be easier??? Sigh. But then again you wouldn't have a chance to meet all the lovely ladies around here if it were, I guess.

Good Luck!! Catch that egg!!
