Re: Luteal Phase Question
Actually, even though some do consider a 10 day LP "normal" it's too close to the short side for comfort and may well indicate an LPD. I would do a P4 test post O and find out what my levels are. The doc will try to push you for a CD21 test. Try and make him hit for the mid LP. In other words, CD21 is on the assumption that you O'd on CD14 and that you have a 14 day LP. What you want to do is figure out what you think your LP is and work from there. So, let's say you O'd on CD16 and have a 12 day LP. You want to be tested on CD22. If you O'd on CD12 and have a 12 day LP, you want to be tested on CD18. Does that make sense?
If you do opt to check into the possibility of an LPD via testing, make sure you get the actual numbers. Like what I said about being too close to the low end with your LP, the same goes with your hormone levels. 10 may be a "normal" P4 level but it's too close to low to be comforting while TTC.
HTH!!
