Wednesday my cervix was firm. Yesterday it was high and soft. Today it is back to firm again. Is this normal? Does anyone know how long the cervix is usually soft for? Do you think I ovulated yesterday?

It really varies from woman to woman. If you had good cm yesterday, you may have o-ed. Temping and checking cm are much more reliable than checking cp, which can even change often in one day! Generally speaking, a high soft cervix indicates lots of estrogen, which our bodies pump out as ovulation approaches.

I've been checking my cp, and it stayed really high for 2 days, but the day I O, it was much softer. The following morning it was lower and firm again.

I had such a hard time figuring out what mine felt like I finally gave up. I could not tell, when it was really high or mid-way. (it could have been that I did not ovulate that cy, but still...It was very frustrating...charting and cm is easier for me.
