Icon5 Evaporation Lines on OPK's

Can someone please explain to me what an evaporation line is when using an OPK?

I have haerd many pp talk about results that could be evap lines and I was just curious b/c I am on CD 8 today and I took 3 different OPK's for an experiment...from babywishes.

1)midstream test
2)cassette and dropper test
3)dip stick test.

At about when the time is done to read the result, I think it was 10 minutes or so, I could see sooo faint of lines on both the casesste test and midstream test but nothing at all on the dipstick one.

I just didn't know if those lines are considered evaps or not? I am sure if I was to upload the pic on the computer it would look like only one line as they are much eaiser to see in person.

Just wanted some opinions!

Thanks

I'm gonna guess no.

I've never heard of an evap line on an OPK. There are always some trace amounts of LH in your system during your cycle. Being on CD 8, you should be gearing up for the surge, so you would get a faint line on an OPK.

If you look at this menstrual cycle chart, you'll see that the LH surges occurs right before O and can last until after O. Then it returns to normal pre-O levels. The strength of the second line depends on the sensitivity of the OPK.

Also, if you have PCOS, it is possible to test positive on an OPK throughout your entire cycle.

I hope I helped answer some questions.

Thank you..that makes sense...I know there is always LH in our bodies but I just wasn't sure if you could get evap lines with them or not.

Thank you for posting that link..it is very simple to interpret and helped me understand better.

Thanks and good luck to you on your TTC journey..I will pray that you get your BFP soon!
