Icon6 Anovulatory cycle or what?

Hello all,

I was just wondering if any of you think my cycle looks anovulatrory or not yet? I am currently on CD 26 and still have not had a + OPK however, did have a whole week now of wet/lubricative watery CM and spotting (very light) for 3 days on and off before I expected ovulation to occur. Then, as you can see from my chart, my temp dropped for 2 days and then went back up but my SW eliminated the one temp with the rule humb. So, it is still saying I have not ovulated yet..but I am so confused...since I also had O pains a week ago as you can also see from my chart. My cycle last month was my first cycle off birth control and this is my 2nd cycle off the pill...completely different cycles. I just felt like I was going to O. DO any of you have any anovulatory cycles that I can see? Or, have any of you recently stopped the pill or have charts from when you recently stopped the pill so I can see what your cycles were like? Anything would be helpful. Here is my current chart as well as my first cycle:

Please keep in mind though that the reason my temps were higher last month was becasue I was temping later in the morning (waking up later) than I am this month. So, you really can't compare actual temps, just the pattern ya know?

Thanks

ps: How do you know when to expect AF if in fact I am having an anovulatory cycle and WHY do my temps keep going up/down every day. Like 97.7 then 97.3 then 97.6, then 97.3..etc...what hormone in my body is causing my temps to do this? They are so erratic but I feel fine! And no, I don't think I could be pg in any way since I got AF last month and feel fine!!

Thanks again!

Default Re: Anovulatory cycle or what?

Looks like your body is trying really hard to O but hasn' t just yet (though the latest rise looks promising). After AF, your body starts producing more estrogen, LH and FSH to get the follies growing, get the egg released, and make that lining comfy for your baby-to-be. But when we're stressed our cycles could take on a life of their own. You may experience all the usual signs of O (eggwhite CM, O pains, LH surges, etc.) but not actually release the egg. For most of us, our bodies will try again and usually succeed. But every once in a while it may not work.

If your cycle is indeed anov, there is no way to tell when you will get AF without medical help, if you get it at all. The reason being because your lining is going to continue to increase and one of two things will happen: Either the lining will become so heavy that it will shed because of sheer weight (it can no longer sustain itself in your uterus) OR your estrogen levels will suddenly dip, triggering bleeding, thereby shedding the lining. This can happen at anytime.

For some women, neither of these happen, so they get a little help from the doc: They will be put on prometrium or provera for a course of 7 or 13 days on average. THen they will be told to stop. The sudden drop in progesterone levels should be enough to trigger AF within days or in a couple of weeks (some of us have bodies that are a little more difficult than others).

You might want to call your doc and see if he is willing to test your blood to see where your P4 levels are. If they are 10 or better, you definitely O'd. Less than that, you either have a progesterone problem or didn't O.

HTH! And good luck!
