I am Christina I am the other host here at OPK/FM I have no experience with the OV-watch. I have been thinking about buying it. I too would love to hear how it goes. I wish you all the best.
Hi ladies I am new to this, so bare with me on the abbreviations
I just bought ov-watch earlier this month are on OV Day 1 today in my cy! I like the watch. It is nice to be told when you are in the first 4 fertile days leading up to O. Also, it looks as though the ov-watch and OPK are going to be fairly close in predicting O. I'll let you know though. I am interested to see if I get a + opk result tomorrow/today on ov day 1.
I'll keep you posted though on the outcome Hopefully it produces the BFP on month one of it's use!

hi there,
I think I'm now 9 dpo, and I used the OV watch this cycle. I'm taking a break from IUIs and meds, so I thought I would try it. I have to say that it seems pretty cool. Just wear it at night from day 1 through your OV day and then you don't wearit again til your next cycle. once you set the watch, you don't have to touch any buttons or do anything--it monitors the chloride in your skin's sweat over night--and rates your fertility from that. I found it to be really stress-free using the product.
I have used the clearblue fertility monitor--and found i was stressed with that--you're basically POAS 1/2 the cycle--and having to hit a button every morning of the entire cycle.
I will use this watch one more cycle beofre I start back up with the IUIs--but wanted to report my experience with it.
one thing i hadn't read though--be sure to wipe off the salt build up on the watch sensors every day. Just a quick wipe should do it.
Hi everyone,
I am new to this board. I don't know much about the OV-watch. Where do you purchase it, what does it cost, and what is the selling point for this product over regular over-the-counter ovulation kits.
Thanks for any info. you share,
Heather
I got my ovwatch from the companies website: ovwatch.com. It cost (with 2 sensors) somewhere around $120.00...but I can't remember the exact amount. There is a discount offered on their site, so look around a bit and see what kind of coupon codes you can enter at checkout for a discount.
Selling point: it tells you when you are four days prior to ovulation. The watch will display "FD 1" for fertile day 1, then FD2, FD3, FD4, OV Day 1, OV Day 2, etc. Better than reg. opk's b/c you get advance notice to ov.
This is my first month with it. I found that on OVday 1 on the watch, I also got a positive opk result that night. So they seem to be pretty good at detection.
I hope that helps
Shannon
