I normally take my temp at 7AM, but heres my problem. I took it at 5:30 AFTER waking you to tend to Gracie and it was 96.79 (would indicate O going down so low even after I had gotten up for a few minutes) then I took it again at 8AM after only getting about 2 more hours of sleep and it was 97.55 which is around what it has been this whole time, maybe a tiny bit higher. which temp should I use?

AND how much pee is needed for an OPK, I forgot to pee into the cup last night before my shower, and so after I tried to squeeze some out and only got a drop or two. I tried the OPK, and it was very negative. no second line at all. but this morning (with FMU) there is definatly a very faint second line. I'd take a pic but my dumb camera wont focus that close. so what do you think. do you think I O'ed today? and go with the low temp, or do you think I'm going to O soon so I should go with the high temp.

Nancy is a great charting guru, but my simple answer is, it's hard to say. You probably won't be able to tell O for sure until you get a clear rise. Your actual temp is probably somewhere between those two, but I would say the second is probably too high.

Personally (and remember I'm not the guru), I would probably take an average of the two and keep bd'ing until I got the clear temperature rise.

Good luck!

I'd take the first temp and adjust it. If this is one of your first tests it's possible that you missed the surge. Onlyl time will tell. The nice dip could indicate O is about to happen.
