Icon8 how accurate are clearblue fertility monitors. have they ever got your ov date wrong?

i am now 5 days late and getting neg hpt.

by my monitor i have ovd cd11 or 12 and my lp is 13 days long.

i also bbt and i have a dip on cd 11 but also another dip on cd22.

my mate reckons that the monitor has got it wrong and i actually ovd cd22.

i also had spotting cd21.

i reckon the montor has got it right the spotting and dip was an imp bleed and i havent enough hcg in my urine.

i also have had symptoms of pregnancy especially the nausea which i had with my daughter but not as bad. usually in the morning or when i am hungry or i have eaten too much/drank to much water.
these past few days it has worn off but i have had it since cd18.

what do u reckon is my monitor wrong,is it right and could i be pg?

thanks for any advice girls babydust to all and congrats if you are pg

Since the monitor detects the surge and then follows a certain pattern after that, it wouldn't be accurate if your body geared up to O and then didn't.

I didn't use the monitor this last cycle, but I used the sticks. I just like them better than opks and find them to be cheaper than store opks. Anyway, my sticks were nearly peaks, but since they were the first few I had used, I had no idea if I missed the surge or was catching the start of it. Had I been using the monitor, it could have given me a peak and would have been wrong since I O'd over a week later.

I think this cycle in anovulatory. You didn't have a clear rise like you did on your other chart. I think your temps are just too low to be lp temps. Do your other charts have a clear rise? Then again, anything is possible and maybe you were sleeping with your mouth open so your temps were low.

Once you get a peak, stop feeding your fm sticks. The monitor will continue to give you lows and you'll only be using up sticks.

Hi Mommy, thanks for sharing ur chart.

After looking at the chart, I would say that O has not occured yet and that the monitor could well be wrong .

Comparing ur temps with this cy to last cy, they r pre O temps still and there is no clear rise yet.

R ur cy regular every month or do the vary?? I would not keep using the monitor, but would keep using OPK's, just in case.

I also agree with what Nancy has said

Sorry I cant help more sweety...........

IMO you have too many low temps to think you Od this month. Compare them to your last charts. Also, the FM's are rarely wrong. I would like to say never but you can't ever say that about anything. They measure the estrogen and LH in your urine and you wouldn't be producing those if you weren't going to O. Also quit feeding the FM sticks after you get the peak. It will always ask for one but there is no need to waste them.

The FM's arent wrong about detecting the surger. BUT, your body can gear up to ovulate, and then not ovulate as Nancy said. If you go through Fertility Friend's site and search charts that use fertility monitors, you will see that it does happen in many cases that both the opk, and the FM will show a positive or peak, but no ovulation will follow. Also, sometimes you will see a second peak or positive opk late into a cycle. The only thing that shows a definite ovulation is a biphasic temp shift. FM are 99% accurate at detecting the surge, but that doesnt 100% mean you WILL ovulate. I think that this cycle is anovulatory as well.
Sorry hon. And as to when will rear her ugly head.. well, only time will tell, some annovulatory cycles can be pretty long. Hang in there

thanks for all your replys. i too think it is anovulatory as i have been reading up on it. so now i just have to sit back and wait.

really want to be pg by the end of jan co i'm gettng married in oct and wont be able to wear the dress that i want or we will have to move the date to the year after. although i would rather get pregnant first and then move the wedding forward.

what about if my period doesnt arrive what am i meant to do and could i still ovulate before it comes?

luv babytots x x x

Talk to your doctor. On medicated cycles I used to cancel around cd 25. Anything is possible... look at my ovulation day (cd35) this cycle. I was very close to getting progesterone since I wanted a fall ivf and was going to miss the cutoff. My natural cycles were fairly consistant with O cd18-22.
