Ruth, How are you doing?
This is a discussion on Ruth, How are you doing? within the Europe and the British Isles forums, part of the Where You Live category; After Karens wonderful news, I was just wondering how you were doing?...
Hi - I'm still here - still as big as a whale LOL.
I am due back at the midwives on valentines day - this is the day I have predicted that my babay will be born - despite not being due until the 17th. She says if nothing has happened by then she will call the hospital and arrange for an appointment for me - i guess at that appointment they will schedule an induction.
It is a bit akward as I live in a different area to the hospital where the baby will born - it just happens that the hosptal I am going to (Oldham) is nearer than the one in the area I live (Huddersfield) I also had Skye at Oldham so they have all my notes etc.
I wouldnt say whale, I'd say Perfectly Pregnant!!!
I'll give you my prediction........... (looking into crystal ball).....Madame.Dawn.predicts
I baby is coming soon and will be born this Sunday. Your baby, a boy will weigh 7lb 9oz & measure 21 inches in length, he will have blue eyes. He will grow to be strong and very successful.
Seriously, I really dont think you will make it pass this weekend. If however, I am wrong and your do, will they induce you? how did you go with Skye? any idea's on how you want the labour to go? You sound like you are ready for the baby, just waiting for him/her to arrive.
What does Skye think of the baby coming soon?

I notice you said HE - LOL EVERONE is convinced this baby is going to a boy - poor mite if it is a girl !
Yes I think they will induce me 2 weeks after the due date - I can't cope that long I think I will look up some accupuncture therapists here. My waters broke the day before my due date with Skye but nothing else happened so they induced me 24 hours later - it was awfully hard - If they do that again I am asking for epidural straight away.
Skye is ready for the baby to come too - she keeps telling me all the things she is going to do with it - eg carry it around and bath it - poor kid will dropped and drowned on it's first day home !
I am sending you lots of (((((((Labour)))))) vibes and hope you go before they need to induce you!
Ahh I think it's lovely that Skye is all ready to help mommy, it's so cute, I remember Christopher wanted to hold Anderson when we got home, but it took a little explaining that Anderson is too little. I'm sure Skye will love helping mummy.
I breastfed for about 6 wks with Anderson, at first I started off by not letting Christopher see me bf until he had gotten used to the idea of Anderson being around. Then about a few days later I explained to him that mummy had to feed milk to Anderson. Christopher first reaction was to run to the fridge and bring me the bottle of milk, then I had to explain that Anderson needed mummy milk and that didnt come in a bottle. He seemed to adjust quite well, although we did have some pooping and weeing incidents, which has now resolved.
