Icon5 Planning a trip back to London

Hiya, my husband and I are planning a trip back to London for the first time since I had our baby (we just moved back to the states 6 months ago right before she was born) and before I go crazy bringing all her food along, I thought I would see if there is anyone from England on this board who can answer my questions about baby food in England. (I usually post on the BIS 2005 board).

When we lived there I shopped at Sainsbury and M&S mainly and to be perfectly honest I didn't take note to what kind of baby food there is there on the other-side-of-the-pond since I knew we would be living back in the States.

When looking at the websites of Tescos and Sainbury I don't see any Enfamil formula, Gerber or Tender Harvest fgods. I did see a lot of Heinz (didn't even know Heinz made baby food) and C&G, Farley (which I never heard of). Can you get Enfamil, Gerber and Tender Harvest on the other-side-of-the-pond there? If not, what would be comparable to Gerber/Tender Harvest? Can anyone suggest something? Especially if you're familiar with the Gerber/Tender Harvest baby foods that would be great.

Many thanks to anyone who can give some info on this.

Cheers..

Hello
To be honest i dont think ive seen any of those names you have mentioned.
But i do now there online shops dont always stock ALL the stock they sell in-store.
But i do shop at most of the big super markets and ive never seen them.
Isnt Enfamil a milk formula? I wouldnt know about that brand because i dont use formula, perhaps some of the other mums could help on that one?
But if the type of baby food you are after is good organic stuff i would buy the HIPP range of baby food, ive used it for all 3 and its great!

Hope that helps in some small way.

Yes, Enfamil is milk formula (if any of you mums here are familiar with it) can you get it over-the-pond? Yep, the organic should work. Tender Harvest is organic baby food made by Gerber. I'll have to make a note of HIPP in case I'm not allowed to bring baby food to and from trans-atlantically. This would be a first for me, so I have no clue. If the make an exemption for baby food. Gonna have to look into that.

Thanks a bunch.

Cheers.

Thanks for the suggestion. You must have ready my mind because I did that yesterday and unfortunately Gerber does not have a market in Europe and none of their products are marketed there. As for Enfamil, it goes under the name of Enfalac (I believe is what she said) and they do not have it with LIPIL (DHA and ARA) due to certain food and drug regulations over on the other-side-of-the-pond. But they do have it with added Iron it just doesn't say it instead it will say Enfalac Premium or A+.

So if any mums out there have seen Enfalac in Sainsbury, Tesco, etc. while shopping and if you can let me know that would be a big help.

Many thanks.

Cheers.

Nope they don't do that in the UK. Heinz and Farleys are the top brands over here and organic ones.
