hi gal pals,

Update on me, Well.....

Anderson celebrated his 1st a few weeks ago, it went well, I only had family, as now that I live about 3 hrs from London, most people dont want to make the journey. He's now crawling very fast and even taking several steps on his own ( a little cautious like mummy). He also has 8 teeth and practices biting us to get a feel for them. We feed him a little of everything we have and he enjoys almost everything.

Christopher is learning with the challenges of Reception class, most of his class friends went to a different nursery together so I guess he feels a little left out. The boys out number the girls 2 to 1 and there is 18 in total, I think Chris prefers playing with girls for some reason, he used to have a few girlfriends at the nursery. Surprsingly he has lost 1 tooth already, His first baby tooth, and the one next to it is also slightly loose. He finds writing a challenge and is doing ok with the reading. He gets homework every night and on weekends which he doesnt like doing. He's at home on half term at the moment and enjoying his free time, It's his birthday in two weeks and he cant wait to get his hand on the pressies.

I'm doing ok, just trying to get to grips with the school run, which can be a little trying sometimes when Chris doesnt want to get ready. I'm getting that outcast feeling from the other parents in the playground. It's funny really, all the mums who walk to school stand together as do all the ones who drive. Unless you are known in the community they dont speak to you. Believe it or not 3 of the families live in my street and although I have tried smiling a few times they seem to take no notice. Funny thing is they all seem to know Christopher's name and say "Hi" to him. The school, well that is a long story, I dont think I got off on the right foot with them, maybe I'll post that on another thread.

That's it from me, well actually there is a whole lot more, but I dont think any of you guys would have the time or the patience to read it.

I look forward to reading your updates, I have been meaning to get back on here regularly but, it just never seems to happen.

Wow Emma! I wasnt expecting that one for coming out. I think the most important thing is you being happy within yourself. I cant even imagine how difficult all this must have been on you. So, I guess that's what you meant when you said you were moving, how's that going?

Jack, I hope you have a great time on your birthday and get well soon! sending you lots of

to Seren for the reading, how's the writing going? sending you

Please try and keep us updated with how it's all going. Oh and sorry about what I wrote in my last PM. I'll be thinking of you

Okay, my update:

Luke is now 4 (how did that happen so fast?) and is making progress with his talking. He's been having speech therapy since February and we have an informal diagnosis of developmental verbal dyspraxia. It has taken me a little while to accept that he isn't just a late talker, but we celebrate the small steps these days. He also signs a lot which helps him to communicate at nursery. In every other way he's a typical 4 year old and he just adores Connor.

Connor is almost 9 months now and he's huge! He weighs over 10kg (around 23-24lb) which is over the 90% line on the charts. Luke has never made it above 50%, so this is new to me. He is desperate to crawl, but can only do the commando crawl at the moment, where he drags himself across the floor by sheer force of will. I think his legs just aren't strong enough to hold his huge body up!

My sister had a baby girl (Holly) the day after Luke's birthday, so I'm finally an Auntie.

I'm also surprised by Emma's news. I hope you manage to make the changes you need as quickly and easily as possible. I cannot imagine how hard that has been to deal with, but wish you the best for the future. I hope Jack had a good birthday and is over the dreaded pox.

H E L L O ! I am here, count me in. Gee where do I start. Campaigning hard to Save our School! Our Primary school has 26 kids in and is under threat of closure, DH and I were front page headlines last week and the school got on the 6 oclock news too. We are fighting against race descrimination amongst other stuff.

The kids are just fine and dandy. ashley is 10 now - OMG when did that happen. Hollie is at preschool year of playgroup, she starts p1 next september.

Ellis is finally talking! he is at playgroup 5 days a week now too.

Summer - shes okay. Still having difficulties with her vision, and the most recent doagnosis of postitional talipes has added to it all a bit. She doesn't walk yet but she really does try to stand now which is great. Other than that she is just the most placid little baby you could have.

These photos of Hollie were taken on my
phone camera so they are not of good quality.
However I felt I just had to show off
how grown up looking she is now.
