Default Karen & Ruth, How are you guys?

I have had such a busy xmas, I have not been able to get on here, not to mention, everyone getting cold/flu. Christopher also got a tummy bug and was throwing up for a few days, I still have mine. I think it's now been nearly 8 weeks & the dr has put me on 500mg Amoxcillin.

How are our pg bellies doing? did the siblings enjoy their last xmas as an only child? You both must be on the last stretch now? I've been thinking of you both for days now but have not had the time to get on here! DH is feeding Anderson and i'm heading off to bed right now.

If you gals get this please drop us a little note let us know how you are doing, I can't wait to find out what you gals are having, oooohhhh the excitement!

I know it's a little late now but I hope you all had a great xmas and have already began the New Year happily! you all XX

Hi Dawn! Thanks for asking after me. I have also been too busy to get here for a while, but for different reasons. I have been trying to get everything organised and ready for the baby. DH finally brought the baby stuff down from the loft and I've been cleaning, washing and reorganising. I've also been trying to make the most of my time with Luke.

I seem to have more time and energy to get things done since I stopped work, and DH has been around a lot more recently. I'm really enjoying this time, especially as I know it will be really hard work when the baby arrives!

I see the consultant again on Thursday to check that the baby is still growing well and that he or she has moved head down. Last time I saw the consultant (30 weeks) the baby was transverse and my gp thought it was still the same at 32 weeks. I am really hoping that this baby decides to cooperate, but I don't think he or she is in the right position yet and there isn't much time left.

That's about it for me at the moment. I know Ruth stopped work around the same time I did, so she won't be around as much as she was. Hopefully she will still manage to pop on and update everyone.

Hi Karen, The cleaning phase! I remember it well! It was only a week later that Anderson arrived (beware!). I'm glad to hear you, Luke and DH are enjoying your time together right now, time really is so very precious.

I am sending you (((((Baby turn))))))) vibes so hopefully he/she will listen to me! do you have any feelings as to girl/boy which it will be? I think it's going to be a girl, not sure why and I cant wait to find out! I'm glad to hear that everything is going well and it wont be long now before your new little one joins your family.

I too thought it would be really difficult, and at first it was kind of hard to get used to it, but (fingerscrossed) Anderson has been sleeping 8 hrs through the night now for about 4-5 weeks I think, I actually found it so much more easier this time round as you have experiance on your side.

If you speak with or message with Ruth can you let her know we are thinking of her and can she come and give us an update? Thanks

Thanks for the vibes Dawn. They must have worked because my baby is definitely head down now! I think he or she has been in the same position for weeks and I have been stressing over nothing! Anyway, all seems OK and despite not being able to measure on the scan (the measuring bit wasn't working) she thinks the size is fine. She had a really good feel (I thought I was going to wet myself ) and said that it wasn't huge but certainly didn't seem too small

DH and Luke came with me today for a change. Luke enjoyed seeing the scan, but I'm not sure he understood exactly what it was. I hope he's not too shocked by the arrival of his new sibling.

As for boy/girl I think it's probably a boy because we have a girl's name sorted, but we're still debating boys names! I am pretty fussy about names because I like them to be familiar and easy to spell because our surname isn't, but then again I don't want it to be too popular. The general consensus is girl though. Even the M&S assistant offered her opinion a couple of weeks ago. First she told me it was too early to buy a nursing bra and then came out from behind the till to get a good look at my bump (and then touch it!!) before offering her verdict of girl. A girl would be nice as we're not planning a third, but I certainly wouldn't be disappointed with another boy. Not too long to wait now to find out.

I don't speak or message with Ruth and I don't think she's posted on DIF recently, but if I see a post from her I will try to point her over here.

Hello all sorry for my delay. Yes I finished work just before Christmas and I just don't seem to get round to posting as much when I am at home - I guess at work it's a great distraction from actually doing any work!

OK 3 1/2 weeks or so untl my due dat of the 17th of Feb although I am predicting it will be the 14th - so we will have to wait and see if I am right.

I banned dh from drinking (so he is available for driving) after the new year - you want to hear him moan about it - I said you have got 6 weeks where you still having the odd beer or glass of wine - think about me 9 months or more if I am breast feeding! Men eh!

I put the cot together yeasterday and realised that I had bought too small a mattress - doh ! So I am waiting for babies r us to come and collect that today.

I have asked dh to post a update on DIF when the baby gets here so I will try and post on here a bit more regularly and again post baby.

Thanks for thinking of me !

Oh Ruth I'm so glad you got the time to give us a quick update, we've missed you so much! Good to hear that all is well and you have too began the big countdown. Tell your DH that he should be lucky you didnt insist he gave up drinking altogether whilst you are pg, how dare he complain over 6 wks! better still you should strap 15-20 lb of sugar on him and get him to do the same housework/work/look after Skye whilst throwing up! Tell him he doesnt know how easy he has got it!

It would be lovely suprise to get a Valentine baby, l personally think your boy/girl will be born before then. Any idea's as to witch you think it is? Any Names? I will keep an eye out for your post when baby arrives, i'll probably check over on "Due in Feb" board if your DH is going to post there. Take good care of your self and remind DH he'll be doing a lot of drinking when the baby is born!

Hello again

I hope you are right and the baby is born before Valentines day - not tonight though as dh is away in Birmingham !!!
Any predictions - I am still thinking it's a boy but I think it would be nice to have another girl, although Skye is convinced it's a boy - she was asking "When's tha little boy coming? I want to play wih him" yesterday.

As for names I think we have setled on

Eden Scarlett for a girl and
Caleb Isaac for a boy although
Scooby Doo is what Skye has now decided it is called !

How are you coping with Christopher and Anderson? I am dreading getting 2 of them plus me ready in the morning. haha.

Have you any holiday plans? I fancy going somewhere in sort of May time probably to a Center Park or something.

Bye for now

Hi Ruth! These last few weeks are really starting to drag for me. I hope you are not feeling too bad and are able to wait more patiently than me. Was Skye early, late or on time? Luke was two weeks early, so I feel like I'm overdue this time, even though I'm still over a week away from my due date. I'm starting to think this baby is never coming out!

I had to LOL at Scooby Doo. I think it works for either a boy or a girl! I hope Skye isn't too disappointed when you don't choose her name for the baby.

It's good to know your dh will post on DIF to let us know as soon as possible. There is no way I could convince mine to do that, so I hope I'm not stuck in hospital for 5 days like last time. My midwife has told me I'll have to stay at least 24 hours because of the Group B Strep, but hopefully this baby won't be 'small for dates' like Luke and I'll be able to escape the next day and let you all know!

Hi Girlies,

Glad to hear you are both doing well and by the sounds of things ready to pop It looks like you guys have days!! left, I'll pray it goes quickly.

Ruth, I love the names you have chosen, Eden Scarlett is such a lovely name for a girl, as is Caleb Isaac for a boy! but personally, I agree with Skye, Scooby doo is the best name of all be sure to let us know as soon as. Dont worry too much about handling two, it's surprising how after a few weeks they just fit right in with your schedule, as I did i'm sure you will find it easier than you expect.

Karen, I hope peanut will be just the right size and you will have the baby in the morning and be posting a message by the afternoon With the strep B is it true that you have to be prepared and go in to hospital asap? I hope it all goes smoothly! Dont forget to let us know when your going in. Do you have any names?

Christopher I hope now is getting over the cold/flu/virus he seems to have had for the last couple of months. He loves Anderson to bits and tries to include him in everything, then complains that "He's sleeping again!". Today was the first day I had to get both boys ready to take Christopher to nursery on my own, I didnt do too badly as we were only half an hour late, we managed to get there by 10am. Still it's only twice a week at the moment, it will be harder in September when Christopher starts reception class and will be going everyday 8:45 - 3:15, have to be up breakfast, dressed and in the car by 8:30. I'm starting weaning next weekend, that should be fun!
