Hi Girlies,

I've been away for what seems like forever! I've been suffering again! with a chest and throat infection! I was given amoxcillian by the dr which didnt do anything after 10 days she put me on an inhaller which seems to have worked. I really am so very very sick and tired of this pregnancy, I honestly cant wait to meet my little man.

I had my 2nd growth scan on tues, and the baby is getting bigger than I had hoped, although leg and height measurements are right on at around 32-33 wks the head and belly is measuring at around 35-36 wks which could possibly mean that my hopes for a VBAC have just gone out of the window. I have another scan scheduled for 11th Oct (36 wk scan) to check growth again, which should determine what will happen. If I get that far, keeping in mind that Christopher was born at 35 wks. If I go by when Christopher was born, this little one could be here anytime from 1st Oct onwards (2 wks time!). In the meantime we are trying to decorate the nursery, which is proving to be very tiring for me.

So how are you gals? Claire, Karen & Ruth, how goes the pg? and Amanda, how are you coping with your gorgeous daughter and a house full of toddlers?

Anyone heard from our other ladies at all? Juliana, Nickie, Emma & Donna, sorry if I've forgotten anyone, my brain is not what it used to be.

Oh I forgot to ask a question, (this is way TMI, so stop reading if you are squeemish) does anyone remember if they got any streaching type feelings from around the "baby exit" I know this sounds weird, but it feels like when you go for a big number 2 and you feel that streaching going on. Except it's constant and I can feel it everytime i go for a wee or even when I get up from sitting down. Is this something I should worry about?

Hi Dawn,

I hope you're resting as much as possible. I remember how tiring the last weeks of pregnancy can be and that was without an older child to take care of! I'm sorry I can't help with your question, but maybe that's a second pregnancy thing. I've definitely noticed a few differences this time around.

As for me, I'm doing OK at the moment. I haven't had any more bleeding so I'm starting to relax again. I saw the consultant last week which was reassuring because she did a quick scan which showed that the placenta is at the back and is not low lying. The baby is also measuring correctly which she said means that if the bleeding was from the placenta it hasn't damaged it significantly. She said that I could go back to GP/midwife care but has offered me a further check at 30 weeks mainly for reassurance. She will also see me straight away if I have any more bleeding.

I have my 20 week scan next week which means I'm almost halfway. Having already had a peek at my baby last week I'm feeling more relaxed about the scan this time. With Luke it was the first time I'd ever had a scan and I wasn't absolutely convinced there was actually a baby in there.

I'm back at work after the summer holidays too, which means that the kids have started to wonder why "Miss" has put on weight. I haven't had any of them come right out and ask me if I'm pg, but there have been a few funny looks. There's another pg teacher who is due a few days after me, so we've been comparing notes.

Hello

I am fine thanks, I have my scan next Wednesday and I can't wait.

I'm glad the inhaler worked and I hope your baby doesn't get too big.
