I had another scare on Monday night. Lots of red blood, but no clots and no pain. I saw the GP yesterday and fortunately all seems well with the baby. He felt my uterus and said if anything I was ahead of dates and he counted the heartrate at around 150 bpm.

The bleeding has now stopped, but the doctor thought it could be a low placenta and that could mean more bleeding. I was just starting to relax about reaching the second trimester. We even told MIL last week.

The doctor was really nice. I hadn't seen him before, but he was great. He told me about his wife's recent pregnancy with a low lying placenta and how hard it had been but had a happy ending. He also said that there is some evidence that it's more likely after an ERPC like I had in March. Why didn't the doctor who recommended it tell me that?

Anyway, I'm trying not to worry too much. On a happier note, DH and I had our 9th wedding anniversary last week. He took me to see We Will Rock You and we had a lovely day out with just the two of us (Luke was at my mum's).

How is everyone? It's been very quiet here recently.

YIKES Karen! I'm so glad it was nothing major. Take care of yourself!

Happy Anniversary too We (dh, girls and myself) went to see We Will Rock You last summer too (my eldest daughter was doing dancing with her theatre group in another show) and thoroughly enjoyed it (although I wish I could have joined in with the finale, but I was 8mths pg at the time )

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY Karen .... 9 years

And so sorry you had bleeding ... low lying placenta can be a worry I had that with Summer, it was partially over my cervix at one stage and I had a lot of 2nd trimester bleeding. Look what I got at the end though - a beautiful daughter so dont give up hope.

I was so sorry to hear about the bleeding, and thank God they knew why you have it. I hope the bleeding stays away from now on.

A belated on your 9th Wedding ani, sounds like you had a great time
